The Pascal Pulse - Issue #12

Welcome to Issue 12 of The Pascal Pulse
As the busier moments in the fandom begin to wind down, it feels like the perfect time to pause and reflect. If you had the chance to write something directly to Pedro, what would you say?
We would begin with gratitude. Gratitude for sticking to his dreams and showing us what perseverance looks like. Gratitude for never giving up, even when the road was long and uncertain. Gratitude for loving art in all its forms, and for weaving that love into our lives in ways that have inspired us, entertained us, and sometimes even healed us when we needed it most.
We would thank him for the friendships we have made through him, connections that have stretched across languages, borders, and cultures. These friendships remind us how shared appreciation can bridge differences and bring people together who might never have crossed paths otherwise. In a world that can feel divided, Pedro has quietly been a thread of connection, tying so many lives together through art and kindness.
We would thank him for sparking joy with his performances, for the laughter, the tears, and the moments of escape his characters bring. But we would also thank him for being brave enough to stand up for what is right. For blending goodness with advocacy, for showing that it is possible to care deeply about one’s craft while also caring fiercely about people. For reminding us that compassion and courage can coexist, and that using your voice matters.
In the end, maybe that is what makes this community so special. That we are not just fans of an actor, but of a person who reminds us to dream, to connect, and to care. His journey has become a spark for our own, to create, to share, to support one another. And above all, we thank him. We thank him for you, and for all the joy. —The Editors 💌 | ![]() |

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are happening on September 14, 2025, live from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the heart of Hollywood glamour. This year’s host is the hilarious Nate Bargatze.
Of course, all eyes are on Pedro, who is nominated once again for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for his breathtaking role as Joel in Season 2 of The Last of Us.. Fans know he’s faced tough Emmy competition in the past, but this year feels different, The man carried heartbreak, grit, and soul on screen, and if that’s not Emmy-worthy, then what even is.
TLOU is also a powerhouse across categories, with Bella Ramsey nominated for Lead Actress, and multiple nods for writing, directing, and production. Seeing both Pedro and Bella representing The Last of Us makes the night even more exciting for fans.
And so, here we are again, the fandom, united, hearts full, timelines buzzing, all manifesting the same thing: that Pedro Pascal finally walks away an Emmy winner this year. This is the moment. We’re calling it now - Emmy Winner Pedro Pascal is loading!
And because no awards night is complete without a little friendly competition, we’re launching our very first Award Show Bingo! Grab your card here: PDF Download and PNG Download and play along with the fandom as the night unfolds!

Disney is lining up some serious hype for the end of the year, reports say major trailers are dropping in October and December, and all signs point to one of them being for The Mandalorian and Grogu. The project has been buzzing ever since it was first announced, and fans are starving for the first real look at Din Djarin back in action with our favorite little green guy. | ![]() |
If this timing is right, Disney is clearly saving their biggest crowd-pleasers for the holiday season push. Think about it: a trailer reveal in October could own NYCC hype, while December would hit right in that sweet spot when everyone’s locked in for year-end releases. Either way, it’s about to be huge.

Pedro got a fresh haircut for the Emmy ceremony! He stopped by to see his friend and barber Mira Chai Hyde, who shared some super cute pics of the two of them together. So good to see their friendship shining through, Pedro looking sweet as ever, and Mira clearly proud of her work.

In Case You Missed It: Pedro sent a special get-well message to a fan, in Spanish! 🥹 He admitted he was a little rusty, but honestly that just made it even more adorable. Such a sweet moment, and proof (again) of how kind he is.

Equalizer 2 Revisit
As The Equalizer 2 prepares to leave Netflix at the end of the month, it feels like the right time to look back at Pedro Pascal’s haunting turn as Dave York, a role that’s so much more than a villain.
On the surface, Dave has built the dream: a beautiful wife, two little girls he absolutely dotes on, a gorgeous home, even a fishing camp. It looks like the picture-perfect all-American life. Pedro plays those family moments with such warmth that you can’t miss how much he loves them, the tenderness in his eyes when he looks at his daughters, the quiet pride of a man who believes he’s given them everything.
But then comes the fracture and the confession that explains it all: “You died, that’s what happened. Three months after you disappeared, government shut us down. I went private right after, doing the same thing you and I did for God and country, killing names on a piece of paper. Only now… now there is a price next to it.”
For years, Dave was trained to cut off emotion, to kill without hesitation, to silence every part of himself that questioned or cared. And when the mission ended, he was expected to return to civilian life and somehow turn it all back on again. That impossible expectation is at the heart of his tragedy.
The money came fast and easy contracts that numbed the pain, big payouts that bought the dream house, the fishing camp, the outward stability of a man who seemed to have it all. But money couldn’t give Dave what he truly needed: healing, purpose, or a way to live with the weight of what he had been molded into. It gave his family comfort, but not the father and husband who could ever fully be present with them.
That’s why there’s compassion for Dave York. He isn’t just McCall’s adversary, he’s a mirror of what happens when loyalty is discarded, when trauma is ignored, and when soldiers trained to kill are abandoned by the very system that created them. Pedro brings him to life with devastating nuance, letting us see the love and the rage, the pride and the heartbreak, all colliding in a man who could never escape what he was made to be.
Watch it before it disappears from Netflix, because saying goodbye to The Equalizer 2 means letting go of one of Pedro’s most quietly shattering and deeply human roles.

Bullies Make Me Sick / Protect the Dolls Fundraiser
This summer, Rebel Girl Rampage turned Pedro’s words “Bullies make me fckin sick”* into action with a charity drive. Proceeds from the “Bullies Make Me Sick” and “Protect the Dolls” shirts, mugs, and magnets went to Trans Lifeline, a cause Pedro has supported. Even though July and August are notoriously the slowest sales months of the year, the shop still donated $50 from sales across both months. Every shirt contributed $5, and each mug or magnet added $1, proof that even in a quiet season, small purchases can add up to real impact. You can still pick up your own: Pride and protection are year-round commitments and so is filling our closets and cupboards with a little Pedro-powered kindness. | ![]() ![]() |
