Welcome to Issue 19 of The Pascal Pulse
After the glitter fades and the last Halloween masks are tossed aside, there’s a quieter turn in the calendar - November 1 and 2, days of remembering. All Saints and All Souls. Days when we trade the thrill of pretending for the truth of presence; when instead of ghosts, we think about those who really walked beside us.
In the quiet space between breath and memory, we hold our loved ones alive. On this November 2 - a day when many pause to honour those no longer with us Pedro reminds us how love and grief can walk together, how loss can reshape but not erase the presence of someone we deeply cared for.
Pedro grew up the son of Chilean immigrants, and his mother, Verónica, was more than a parent - she was his sanctuary, his early ally in a world that would soon demand everything of him. He once said of her:
“She was always incredibly supportive, never a stage mom. I always felt like she knew something that I didn’t.” (People)

Her death when he was 24 left a wound, but also a vital reminder of how deeply we are imprinted by those who go before us. Pedro said:

When he hosted Saturday Night Live on the anniversary of her passing (February 4), he didn’t just perform, he felt her presence.
“I was so scared that week … I was talking to her. ... I don’t feel like any of this right now would be happening if it weren’t for her.”(Esquire)
What strikes me is how Pedro turns grief into witness. He acknowledges the wound not with shame, but with openness. He honours memory not by hiding its pain, but by letting it reshape his present. On a day like November 2, that’s a potent message for all of us.
When I lost the most important person in my life, I didn’t have the words for what I was feeling - just this dull ache of something unsaid. Listening to Pedro talk about his mother cracked something open in me. It gave me permission to speak about grief without wrapping it in apology.
And then Andrew Garfield’s words found me: “I hope this grief stays with me because it’s all the unexpressed love that I didn’t get to tell her.”
(Andrew Garfield on Stephen Colbert, 2021)
That hit like a truth you can’t unhear. Grief is unexpressed love. It’s the energy that has nowhere else to go, the conversation left unfinished, the tenderness still looking for a home.
I think that’s what this time of year asks from us - not just to mourn, but to let our remembering breathe. To light a candle for those who shaped us, to say their names, to feel the ache without rushing to fix it.
Because love doesn’t disappear when a person does. It lingers - restless, loyal, unfinished - waiting for us to notice that it’s still here, just wearing a different form.

The Legacy in Mira’s Garage (and on Pedro’s Head)
In a recent W Magazine profile, Pedro’s hairstylist Mira Chai Hyde gives a rare look into her creative world and Pedro’s love for her work is unmistakable. “Mira is the one person I trust to cut my hair, but it’s more,” he says. “She understands what’s on my head like she understands what’s inside it.”
He also describes her garage studio as a living archive of her life: “It’s full of the coolest shit… photos of her legacy or just something she likes, decorating every inch. It feels special to know that maybe by sitting in her chair, you, too, will be included in her legacy.”
A short but beautiful glimpse into the artist behind Pedro’s hair and why she’s so special to him.

Tickets Now on Sale: Richard II
Tickets are officially on sale for Richard II, the electrifying new adaptation featuring Lux. This reimagining of Shakespeare’s poetic masterpiece transports the story to 1980s Manhattan, where neon-lit ambition and backroom betrayal collide.
Michael Urie delivers a virtuosic performance, and Craig Baldwin’s inventive adaptation makes Richard’s tragic unraveling feel sharp, intimate, and urgently modern , all staged just steps from the historic Astor Place Riots, the original American cocktail of politics, insurrection, and Shakespeare.
RICHARD II - Limited Off-Broadway Engagement
October 28 - November 30, 2025
If you’re in New York, don’t miss it. Tickets are on sale now!

Pedro was once again spotted leaving the gym with his cello!
Pedro was spotted once again leaving the gym and yes, the cello was right there with him. Only this time, it’s sporting a bright yellow cover, catching as much attention as he does.
Why bring a cello to a workout? Maybe he’s still “getting used to it,” as the Behemoth! director hinted. Or maybe he just refuses to leave such a delicate instrument baking in a hot car… Very thoughtful, right ?

Spotlight: Lux Pascal in Vogue
Vogue takes a closer look at Lux’s commanding turn as the queen in Richard II, exploring how she approaches Shakespeare, what she’s learned from working alongside Michael Urie, and the quiet power she brings to the role. The profile follows her journey from feeling intimidated by Shakespeare to embracing its rhythm and emotional depth.
As Lux puts it: “Once your voice and your body step into that language… you’re part of this theatrical and literary world.”

Pedro Crowned DILF of the Year 2025
The results are in and Pedro has officially taken the number one spot in the Archive DILFs 2025 rankings, an annual fan powered event that has become the internet’s unofficial cultural census. The @archivedilfs account, known for its tongue in cheek rankings and devoted community, gathered nearly 35,000 votes between October 1st and 17th.
Voters were allowed one ballot per email and could choose more than one nominee, but even with those odds, Pedro surged ahead with the highest vote count of the entire competition.
Pedro did not just place; he dominated.
The internet has spoken, the data is tallied, and the crown is his.

Casting Update: Behemoth!
Olivia Wilde is the latest to join Pedro Pascal in Behemoth!, the upcoming Searchlight feature written and directed by Tony Gilroy. She joins David Harbour and Eva Victor in a stacked cast already generating buzz.
While Searchlight hasn’t released an official logline, The Hollywood Reporter describes the film as a love letter to movie music and the people who create it. Pedro will play a musician from a multigenerational family of musicians who returns to Los Angeles, and Wilde will portray his former lover, setting the stage for a story that feels emotional, artistic, and deeply character-driven.
Principal photography begins this week in Los Angeles, with release details to come.
Pedro Reminds Us: “Taking care of yourself is also an act of love.”
This October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pedro sent a warm, heartfelt video message to the women of Hospital Santiago Oriente in Peñalolén, encouraging them to take care of their health and schedule regular check-ups. In the clip, he reminds viewers of the importance of mammograms and follow-up screenings, noting that early detection can save lives. The moment carries added meaning, his brother, Dr. Nicolás Balmaceda, works within the same health network, making Pedro’s support both personal and deeply heartfelt.

Marvel News: More MCU buzz this week as reports claim that Avengers: Secret Wars is expected to begin filming in April 2026. Nothing is officially confirmed by Marvel, so treat it as early chatter rather than a locked-in date, but it is enough to get us paying attention.
Over in Avengers: Doomsday territory, rumors continue to swirl about an early teaser trailer. Some sources even suggest it may be attached to the upcoming Avatar: Fire and the Ash release. The teaser is said to be more substantial than a typical first look, hinting at a darker tone and some striking Doctor Doom moments, though none of this has been verified.
Two massive projects, both already stirring up excitement and speculation, even without official word from Marvel.

Pedrotober 2025: The Final Stretch
Pedrotober 2025 has officially come to an end, and what a wonderful month it was. The #Pedrotober2025 tag transformed into a living gallery of creativity, color, and heart, giving us thirty-one days of pure inspiration from across the fandom.
This year felt especially meaningful. We discovered so many new creators through everyone’s posts, each bringing their own style, their own humor, their own softness, and their own fire. In these dark times, Pedrotober was a needed reminder that art matters. Community matters. The things we make together matter.
We’re a little sad we didn’t get to participate the way we hoped this year. Time wasn’t on our side, but watching the fandom dive in with such enthusiasm made the whole month a joy. The energy, the imagination, the love behind each post… it really is something special. And we can’t wait to join in fully next year. The joy of playing along is its own kind of magic.
A huge thank you to @morguedesign for creating Pedrotober, and to Alyssa (@alyssamariag) and North (@north.the.lemon) for keeping this tradition thriving. Their hard work continues to spark so much creativity.
And a gentle reminder as we close out the month: art is not about likes, comments, or follows. It’s about connection. It’s about the quiet moment when something someone made feels like it was meant just for you.
Thank you to everyone who created, shared, supported, and celebrated. Pedrotober 2025 was unforgettable because of you.
