Welcome to Issue 20 of The Pascal Pulse
Last week was National Stress Awareness Day, which honestly felt perfectly timed. The world is heavy right now; every headline, every feed, every conversation seems to carry a little extra weight. It’s a lot for anyone.
Back during those early COVID days, when everything felt uncertain and overwhelming, many people found unexpected comfort in Pedro: his warmth, humor, kindness, and the sense of humanity he brings to everything he does. But plenty of folks discovered him long after all that too, and that joy still hits just as hard. Whether you joined in 2020, last month, or yesterday, the feeling is the same: something about him simply makes life a little lighter.
And we all know how the internet works. One tiny flicker of negativity pops up, and suddenly it’s rolling downhill like a rogue shopping cart. Stress makes everyone quicker to jump, and things can snowball before anyone even knows what happened.
So during this Stress Awareness season, maybe we take a collective breath. Remember why we’re here. Lean into the joy instead of the noise.
Because when this community focuses on what we love, Pedro’s work, the excitement around new projects, the jokes, the art, the friendships, it becomes something bright and grounding in a world that doesn’t always feel that way.
So rewatch your comfort scene. Scroll your favorite photos. Laugh at the memes.
Here’s to finding tiny pockets of joy in heavy times and to the community that always finds a way to share it. 💛

We asked you at the last minute to share your favorite photo of Pedro on Instagram and wow, you delivered! Here’s a little collage of the pictures you sent in. Can you spot yours? Every single one radiates pure joy (and Pedro charm, obviously). Share your favorite pic of Pedro in your Instagram Story, tag The Pascal Pulse, and we’ll share it on our Instagram! Keep the love flowing!

GRAMMY Nomination
for The Wild Robot
DreamWorks’ The Wild Robot has earned a Grammy nomination for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media! Composer Kris Bowers delivers a stunning blend of electronic and organic sounds that beautifully capture the film’s heart - the harmony between nature and technology.
The Wild Robot follows Roz, a robot who crash-lands on a remote island and learns to survive while forming a touching bond with the animals around her.

Pedro lends his voice to Fink the fox - once again stepping into the role of a reluctant yet fiercely protective adoptive father.
Signed Collectibles Have Landed Home!
SWAU has officially shipped out the Pedro signed collectibles, and fans are celebrating across social media! From The Mandalorian to The Last of Us and Fantastic Four, the photos shared on X showcase a stunning range of autographed pieces that perfectly capture every era of Pedro’s career. The creativity and passion from collectors made this signing feel truly galactic - this is the way.

Avengers: Doomsday Trailer Incoming!
Collider reports the first trailer will arrive December 19 alongside Avatar: Fire and Ash, giving a first look at Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. The film unites a massive cast of MCU heroes: Avengers veterans (like Thor and Captain America), the Fantastic Four team led by Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), and even some X-Men cameos (Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler and Kelsey Grammer’s Beast are confirmed). A post-credits stinger in Fantastic Four: First Steps already teased Doom’s clash with Marvel’s First Family, showing the cloaked villain kneeling before Reed’s young son Franklin Richards as the child touches Doom’s mask in a tense scene.
Rumors suggest this sets up a dramatic plot where Doom kidnaps Franklin, forcing Reed and the Fantastic Four to leave their retro universe and join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the main MCU.

Originally planned as Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, the movie was reworked into a Doom-centric multiverse showdown after Kang’s off-screen troubles – with Marvel pivoting to Doctor Doom as the new big bad and casting RDJ in the role. Some speculated that Mr. Fantastic would even lead the Avengers in this crossover, but director Matt Shakman quickly clarified those comments were taken out of context, confirming that Reed Richards isn’t actually replacing Captain America at the team’s helm
New Disney + Icons!
You can now show off your love for The Fantastic Four: First Steps with brand-new Disney+ profile icons! The lineup features Pedro as Reed Richards, Vanessa as Sue Storm, Joseph as Johnny Storm, and Ebon as Ben Grimm - plus the team’s adorable robot companion, HERBIE.
It’s a fun little way to celebrate Marvel’s First Family ahead of their big return in Avengers: Doomsday.

People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive
Pedro wasn’t selected as People magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive this year, the 2025 title went to Jonathan Bailey but Pedro was still featured prominently in the issue.
People included him in their “Moments of the Year” roundup, highlighting his appearance at the Cannes Film Festival on May 17 while promoting Eddington. The feature noted his playful red-carpet poses, including blowing kisses and winking to the crowd, as well as the now-iconic muscle tank that had social media talking for days.
So while he didn’t receive the main title, he still earned a standout spot in one of the issue’s most memorable sections.

Opening Night Monday: Lux Pascal in Richard II

Lux is currently in previews for Red Bull Theater’s Off-Broadway production of Richard II, her Red Bull debut. Performances began on October 28, and Opening Night is this Monday, November 10. The production, which also features Michael Urie, is being staged at the historic Astor Place Theatre and runs through November 30 only.
It’s a limited engagement, and tickets are already going fast, so if you want to see Lux take on this Shakespearean powerhouse, now’s the moment.
A Little Mexico Moment Flashback

A lovely photo resurfaced this week from Pedro’s visit to X’Tun Cavernas in Mexico this past September. Pedro has always shown how much he loves Mexico, and this stop at a small eco-tour run by native Mexican guides from Tulum was another beautiful example of that connection.
The guides were genuinely excited to meet him and shared a short security-camera clip simply because it was a big moment for their tiny, locally owned business. And honestly, that excitement can be contagious. Sometimes we all get caught up in a moment that feels special and share it without fully thinking about how it might be received. But bullying and harsh assumptions are never the answer, especially toward local workers who were just proud and happy.
And truly, Pedro would never want people attacked in his name. If anything had been concerning, he has a team who would have handled it privately and professionally.
Pedro’s visit clearly meant a lot to them, and it’s a good reminder to meet moments like these with kindness and understanding. A meaningful experience for everyone involved. 🌿
Behemoth! Begins: First Look at Pedro on Set

Filming for Behemoth! began in Los Angeles this week, and set photos of Pedro in character as a cellist have already surfaced online. It’s our first glimpse at the film, and his hair is a beautiful length in these shots, which has already made fans very happy. Directed by Tony Gilroy and co-starring David Harbour, the project is just getting underway and already building excitement.

Flashback of the Week

This week, actress Becca Ayers posted an amazing throwback on her Instagram, a high school photo of her and Pedro looking impossibly young. She later shared that they were classmates at the Orange County High School of the Arts and performed together in their school production of City of Angels, the film-noir style musical with a dual onstage/offstage storyline.
A rare and adorable glimpse into Pedro’s early theater days, and such a sweet share from Becca. ❤️

Pedro Pascal Named Nerdist’s Nerdiest Man Alive 2025
Nerdist officially named Pedro Pascal the Nerdiest Man Alive for 2025, and it makes perfect sense. His career is stacked with major nerd franchises, from The Last of Us to Game of Thrones, and now the MCU.
This year he debuted as Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, delivering a quiet, bookish, perfectly geeky take on Marvel’s smartest man, proving any early doubts wrong.
With genre roles spanning decades, Nerdist says it best: few actors have nerd cred like Pedro Pascal.

A New Peek Behind the Materialists Set
Director Celine Song shared a new behind-the-scenes photo of Pedro and Dakota Johnson from the set of Materialists, and the timing couldn’t be better. With the film now streaming on HBO, the new snapshot is a perfect little reminder of their easy chemistry.
