Welcome to Issue 23 of The Pascal Pulse
As November winds down, we find ourselves reflecting on what we’re most grateful for, and it all comes back to this community. We know that not everyone celebrates Thanksgiving, and that its history carries different meanings for many. But wherever you are in the world, this time of year still invites us to slow down, reflect, and express gratitude, something we can all share.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and showing up issue after issue. What began as a small way to celebrate Pedro Pascal’s work has grown into something much larger, a space built on creativity, connection, and genuine care. Every message, every note of encouragement, and every shared excitement reminds us why we keep doing this.
Our gratitude also extends to the Balmaceda Pascal family, whose talent, warmth, and resilience continue to inspire us. Pedro’s journey reminds us that kindness and curiosity can take you anywhere. Lux shows us the power of authenticity and fearlessness in every project she takes on. Javiera proves that vision and leadership can change an entire industry, championing stories that reflect the richness of Latin America and beyond. And to the rest of the family, whose quiet strength, humor, and heart continue to shine through them all, the kindness they share so naturally reminds us where Pedro’s own warmth and grace were shaped.
Together, they embody what it means to lead with heart and purpose, to carve space for others and make the world a little brighter through art and love.
As we close out November and look ahead to the final stretch of the year, we just want to say thank you. Thank you for being here, for celebrating their stories with us, and for reminding us that admiration can be both joyful and deeply human.
Here’s to gratitude, to growth, and to the family, found and chosen, that inspires us all, wherever we are in the world.
🧡 With love, The Pascal Pulse Team

New Flashback Scenes of Joel in Season 3?
There’s renewed talk about Pedro returning as Joel Miller in The Last of Us Season 3, possibly through new flashback scenes. A recent Production List update naming him and Bella has sparked speculation, but the details appear to be outdated.
Industry listings under the working title CALM CURRENT (via UBCP/ACTRA, DGC BC, and Creative BC) now show filming scheduled from March through November 2026, not January as previously reported. Those listings also indicate that the actor information on Production List is likely carried over from earlier seasons rather than new confirmations.
With Pedro expected to be filming De Noche, the Todd Haynes project in Mexico, during the same period, it seems unlikely he will be part of The Last of Us production early in the year. If there are Joel flashbacks, they were most likely filmed when Season 2 was shot or will be added much later in 2026 once schedules align. For now, there is no verified indication that new Joel scenes are in production.

Pedro joins “Artists for Aid” in Los Angeles this January
Pedro will appear at Artists for Aid, a benefit concert uniting a remarkable lineup of performers including Jazmine Sullivan, Omar Apollo, Lucy Dacus, Blood Orange, Daniel Caesar, Faye Webster, Mustafa the Poet, and more.
The event takes place January 10 in Los Angeles and all proceeds will support the Sudanese American Physicians Association and the Palestinian Children’s Relief Fund. Every artist involved has donated their time and voice to the cause.
For updates and ticket information, visit ArtistsforAid.org.
For Pedro, it is another reminder of how he continues to align himself with projects grounded in empathy, community, and purpose, showing once again that kindness is its own kind of artistry.
Dylan Mulvaney Supports Lux Pascal in Richard II
Dylan Mulvaney attended Richard II to support Lux Pascal’s standout performance in Red Bull Theater’s acclaimed Off-Broadway production, a run that’s been so well received it’s now officially extended through December 14 at the Astor Place Theatre. Critics have praised Lux’s work as “electric and arresting” and “striking, grounded, and unforgettable,” calling her one of the production’s unexpected revelations. Tickets are on sale now, and if you’re in New York, this is one performance you won’t want to miss. Lux Pascal and Dylan Mulvaney are both fearless trailblazers in their own right, artists who continue to move through the world with courage, grace, and purpose. Seeing one champion the other in a moment like this feels like the kind of solidarity and joy theater was made for.

The new trailer for ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ in front of ‘Zootopia 2’ is reportedly a much stronger trailer than the first one🚨

Pedro Steps Into the Spotlight:
Disney Puts Him Up For Your Consideration
Pedro has officially been put forward in Disney’s For Your Consideration campaign for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and it’s a milestone that carries more weight than the glittery phrasing suggests.
When a studio submits an actor for FYC, it’s not just paperwork, it’s a public statement that the performance deserves to stand in the same spotlight as the year’s most celebrated work.
For Pedro, that means his quietly powerful take on Reed Richards has been singled out as award-worthy, not just fan-favorite charming. Disney is essentially saying, “Yes, look closely - there’s real craft here,” and for those who’ve followed Pedro’s career from scrappy supporting roles to cosmic superhero scientist, it feels like a collective swell of pride.

Fantastic Four: The First Steps Continues Its Award Season Momentum
Fantastic Four: The First Steps has officially been nominated for Best Action or Science Fiction Feature at the 2025 Astra Film Awards, presented by the Hollywood Creative Alliance. Starring Pedro as Reed Richards, the film continues to earn recognition for its ambitious storytelling, grounded humanity, and stunning visual world-building.
The Last of Us Season 2 Earns Double Astra Nominations
The Astra Creative Arts Awards have announced nominees in key TV categories, and The Last of Us: Season 2 has picked up two nominations, Best Choreography and Best Sound. It’s nominated alongside titles like Gen V, Stranger Things, Wednesday, Robin Hood, Black Rabbit, and Landman.
Final voting takes place later this month, with winners revealed December 2.

Behemoth Still in Production
Filming for Behemoth! is still underway in LA, and we even caught a few new on-set glimpses of Pedro with Coco in the background. Yes, those perfect curls are getting VIP treatment between takes. See the photos here. We also got a video from set from last week, watch it here.

Hydration and a 2Pac Tee
Earlier this week, Pedro was seen at the gym wearing a vintage Tupac Shakur tee and carrying his ever-present water bottle, effortlessly proving that staying hydrated and stylish is just part of the routine. See the photos here

Pedro + soft cardigan = Perfection
We needed soft cardigan-wearing Pedro, and the universe listened! Playbill shared a new video of Pedro (and his signature curls) announcing the finalists for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, which honors women+ playwrights from around the world. Calm voice, kind eyes, perfect hair, and that little bow tie—what more could we ask for? Congratulations to all the nominees!

Pedro, Sarah Paulson, and the RHOSLC Group Chat We All Wish We Were In
Now for a little Bravo-flavored fun. With BravoCon 2025 celebrating twenty years of Andy Cohen’s The Real Housewives franchise, and with season 6 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City underway and serving up more hilarious drama, we’re hoping that Pedro has enough downtime to stay up to date with his favorite cast members!
While Pedro’s bestie Sarah Paulson has playfully mentioned Pedro during her last two appearances on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she revealed how RHOSLC is a staple in their friendship and must-see tv during a 2023 Vogue interview and a 2024 Interview Magazine conversation.
Pedro reinforces their shared love of RHOSLC as only Pedro can do with his jaw dropping and big brown eyes popping when Justin Hill of Loud + Proud mentioned an upcoming meeting with fan-favorite Whitney Rose after wrapping up his and Vanessa Kirby’s interview for The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
With this new season of RHOSLC coming in strong with their first Below Deck crossover episode, it’s safe to say that Pedro and Sarah have plenty of hilarious moments to cackle over, including an Osmond-voiced unicorn being thrown overboard a yacht, flatulent cheaters, Angie K’s dog being falsely accused of farting, and plenty of other insults and zingers that we can’t post here but will definitely be shared in a group chat. Justin also shared that Pedro has been trying to get his team to watch the show. We don’t have the “Receipts! Proof! Timeline! Screenshots!” to confirm or deny, but we would bet our favorite SWAU autographed Pedro pieces that there’s a separate Pedro-less side chat featuring this Pedro-coded Britani gif.
