Welcome to Issue 25 of The Pascal Pulse

This week, as a final vote approaches on safe abortion protections, the grassroots campaign My Voice, My Choice was quietly shadow-banned. No announcement. No explanation. Just the digital equivalent of the lights dimming mid-scene, right when the story matters most.

They’ve often collaborated with our fandom - sharing joy with us, but also sharing opinions and information that truly matter to this community. If you know anything about Pedro Pascal, you know exactly where he would stand. He marched for women’s rights in 2017 and has continued to speak up ever since. He is the kind of person we want in the world. He has become, whether he intended to or not, a symbol of something rare in public life: visible care. He shows up loudly for trans rights, for reproductive freedom, for immigrant dignity, for softness in a culture that profits from cruelty. He models a kind of masculinity - and humanity - that says protection isn’t domination, it’s solidarity. That love is an action, not a brand.

And we want our community to reflect that.

The Pedro fandom has always been more than thirst traps and screen grabs (though we respect the classics). It’s a network. A signal boost. A found family that understands joy and responsibility. When one voice is muted, the rest of us learn to speak louder, smarter, together.

This is one of those moments.

Shadow bans only work if we accept them as fate. Algorithms can be confused. Overwhelmed. Broken open by sheer collective insistence. Shares, saves, comments, duets, stitches, screenshots, links in bios, old-school word of mouth. Repetition as resistance. Visibility as care. Show My Voice, My Choice love under their Instagram posts - we’ll link them here. We know that many women read this newsletter, and this fight is about freedom over our own bodies.

This newsletter exists because we believe fandom can be a force for good without losing its humor, its queerness, its tenderness. Let’s be a force for something good. Care is contagious. Solidarity scales.

Kindness is punk.

Win for The Last of Us

Some stories refuse to stay in one medium. They mutate, adapt, and survive - much like the world of The Last of Us itself. This week, Season 2 took home Best Adaptation at The Game Awards!

Congratulations to the cast, the creatives, and everyone who made grief, love, and survival feel this raw on screen!

Avengers: Doomsday Teaser Rolls Into Theaters - Finally!

Avengers: Doomsday is quietly entering its marketing phase, with a 1:27 teaser prepared to hit theaters ahead of screenings for the new Avatar film. Marvel will circulate four different versions of the trailer, each playing for a week before rotating out. The strategy suggests a careful, data-driven rollout designed to gauge audience reaction in real time. Rather than a single explosive reveal, Doomsday is unfolding in measured, deliberate steps. And we are here for it! And apparently the first trailer should drop very, very soon! Some leaks even say today, others point to December 19 and the next trailers will come weekly after.

Behemoth! pics & leak

Pedro Pascal was spotted on the set of Behemoth! in a cozy sweater - God save us. Some photos are out, along with a leaked script we don’t know is legit yet, but we do know his character’s name: Alex. And honestly, he’s already looking like he’s about to win our hearts.

Someday Nominated for CDGA Award

Apple’s commercial Someday, starring Pedro, has earned a nomination at the 28th CDGA Awards. The nominations honor costume designers for Excellence in Short Form Design. Congratulations to the talented designers behind the look.

Lux Pascal’s Momentum Year:
From Stage and Screen to Vogue’s Best Dressed

Lux Pascal’s year has been nothing short of busy, marked by a steady climb across disciplines. From the premiere of Miss Carbón, which positioned her firmly on the international film radar, to her acclaimed turn in the successful stage production of Richard II, Lux has demonstrated a range that resists easy categorization. Alongside this momentum, she has become a familiar presence at major fashion shows, her style evolving in parallel with her growing visibility. Now, Vogue has included her on its 2025 Best Dressed list, a nod to a fashion voice that feels both intentional and assured. Congratulations are in order for this busy year filled with success!

Pedro’s Characters Prepare for Christmas Chaos

Clint (Freaky Tales): Clint plans his holidays like a heist, mapping out a flawless Christmas Eve “mission” to slip presents under the tree without getting caught. Even in a Santa hat, he’s eyeing the chimney as an escape route (old habits die hard).

Dave York (Equalizer 2): Dave organizes Christmas as precisely as a black ops mission – think tactical schedule, high-value target (the last Prime Rib Roast in the store), and an escape plan for the mall parking lot. He’s the type to set booby traps under the Christmas tree to catch anyone peeking at presents early

Dieter Bravo (The Bubble): Dieter breezes through December convinced it’s just another performance, dramatically proclaiming that holiday stress really brings out his Oscar-worthy range of emotions. He attempts to handle Christmas chaos by leading the family in a group meditation (borrowed from his on-set wellness routine), before inevitably collapsing into a melodramatic faint when the ham comes out slightly overcooked.

Din Djarin (The Mandalorian): Mando approaches Christmas with the same stoic determination he applies to bounty hunting, carefully checking his list twice because “This is the Way.” He absolutely refuses to take off his helmet for caroling.

Ezra (Prospect): In the toxic alien forest of Prospect, Ezra improvises a “Christmas tree” out of glowing alien spores and scrap metal, determined to have some holiday cheer even if the atmosphere could kill him. He handles holiday stress the way he handles a shady deal – with a dry wit and one hand hovering near his blaster.

Francisco “Catfish” Morales (Triple Frontier): Catfish treats holiday prep like a special-ops mission, mapping the optimal route through mall traffic and timing his gift drop-offs at 0600 hours sharp. He even offers to airlift the Christmas tree by helicopter - nothing could possibly go wrong this time - carefully ensuring the payload of presents won’t send him crashing into the Andes of wrapping paper again.

Harry Castillo (Materialists): Harry approaches Christmas with the suave confidence of a man who thinks he can buy the perfect holiday. Ever the extravagant romantic, Harry even considers gifting himself a little extra holiday height – but after that pricey leg-lengthening surgery, he’s already tall enough to place the star on the tree without a ladder, thank you very much.

Jack “Whiskey” Daniels (Kingsman: The Golden Circle): Agent Whiskey wrangles December chaos like a barroom brawl in a Wild West saloon – with a charming drawl, a twinkle in his eye, and a lasso at the ready to rope in any rogue presents. He unapologetically spikes the eggnog with a generous pour of Statesman whiskey (for authenticity).

Javi Gutierrez (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent): Javi decks the halls of his villa with over-the-top flair – imagine twinkling lights synchronized to the Con Air soundtrack and a life-size Nicolas Cage statue wearing a Santa hat – because subtlety is not his style. He turns his holiday party into a full-on fan convention.

Javier Peña (Narcos): Javier Peña handles Christmas with the same weary, no-nonsense vibe he had chasing cartels – he scans a chaotic holiday gathering like it’s a stakeout, sipping a stiff drink and keeping a suspicious eye on the overly jolly mall Santa (and maybe flirt with couple women).

Joel Miller (The Last of Us): Joel approaches Christmas like a supply run through the apocalypse – pragmatic and gruff, he scavenges stores for essential gifts the way he’d scavenge abandoned houses for gear. He insists on securing the perimeter of the holiday party (old habits die hard), even keeping one wary eye on the fireplace in case any clickers decide to come caroling down the chimney.

Marcus Moreno (We Can Be Heroes): Marcus Moreno is that rare superhero who can save the world at noon and still show up in time to take his daughter to a holiday cookie bake-off.

Marcus Pike (The Mentalist): Agent Marcus Pike tackles the holidays with methodical enthusiasm – rumor has it he’s got a color-coded spreadsheet for gift shopping and an evidence folder for hiding surprise presents from prying eyes. Ever the romantic, he plans an elaborate mistletoe moment for his loved one

Max Phillips (Bloodsucking Bastards): Max runs the office Secret Santa with a literal thirst for holiday cheer – he stocks the break room with “special” punch that’s suspiciously red and labels it Holiday Hemoglobin, claiming it’s an old family recipe.

Maxwell Lord (Wonder Woman 1984): Maxwell Lord treats Christmas like a personal infomercial – he even goes on TV in a Santa suit proclaiming, “Life is good… but it can be better!” with a limited-time holiday offer (just don’t read the fine print).

Pero Tovar (The Great Wall): Pero Tovar approaches Christmas with gruff skepticism, a bit like when he first saw Chinese fireworks at the Great Wall – he’s not sure about these strange traditions, but if there’s good food (and good wine), he’ll play along.

Giveaway time!

To end on a fun note: Marvel UK is running a Fantastic Four giveaway 🌀
The prize? A Fantastic Four backpack, because even saving the world requires good storage.
