Welcome to Issue 26 of The Pascal Pulse
This week marks our 26th issue, 26 weeks of The Pascal Pulse. Half a year of celebrating stories, art, kindness, and connection. What began as a small idea has become something so much larger: a space built on community and care.
Fandom can be a beautiful thing, but it is not always easy. Sometimes it turns unkind. We have experienced that firsthand, and some of it has been more than difficult. The truth is, the fandom can also be full of contradictions, often born from unhappiness, when people see others creating, connecting, or being recognized, and let that pain spill outward. We have felt those emotions too, but instead of letting them consume us, they make us reflect on why we started and what truly matters. It is easy to believe rumors when you are unhappy or already holding on to preconceived notions, but that is when we all need to pause and ask ourselves: what is the motivation? What is driving the urge to believe the worst?
It is also true that even Pedro himself is not immune. We have seen moments where the very fandom that celebrates him can also turn on him, dissecting his words, questioning his intentions, or projecting expectations onto him that no one could ever meet. That reality can be disheartening, but it also reminds us how necessary compassion is, especially when visibility is high and humanity is forgotten.
On the plus side, we have also seen the very best of this fandom. We have watched people show up with generosity, creativity, and care. We have seen strangers become collaborators, kindness ripple outward, and joy shared without conditions. Those moments are not small, and they are not rare, even when the noise tries to drown them out.
That is why we keep looking to Pedro as our compass. He has faced rejection, dreams crushed or delayed, and the ache of watching others find success while he was still struggling, yet he never gave in to bitterness. He chose grace, humor, and compassion every time. He lifted others up even when the world overlooked him. And that is the lesson we want to carry into our next 26 weeks: that kindness is not weakness. It is endurance.
When we look back on what we have done this year, we are proud. With fans from all over the world, we organized a 50th birthday project for Pedro, one he saw and loved. We launched this very newsletter, which now ranks in the top 20% of engagement across Beehiiv. We have highlighted small businesses, artists, and charities. We have hosted giveaways, fan challenges, our first ever Secret Santa, and a special Halloween issue that let us blend storytelling and fandom in new, creative ways. We have also received genuine support from people close to Pedro who appreciate what this community represents. Every message, share, and moment of connection reminded us that this is something special.
As we look ahead, we want to hear from you. What do you want from us? What do you want to see more of? What can we do differently or better? We are here to learn, to grow, and to build this together. This is not just our newsletter. It is yours too.
There is so much to look forward to: Pedro’s 51st birthday project, new fan challenges, and all the incredible projects still to come. Thank you for being part of this journey, for choosing kindness, creativity, and community right alongside us.
Here is to 26 weeks down and many more ahead.
With gratitude, The Pascal Pulse Team 💛

The Doomsday Clock Is Ticking
With exactly one year to go until Avengers: Doomsday hits theaters on December 18, the Russo Brothers have officially kicked off the countdown, sharing a clock on Instagram to mark the milestone. The timing is perfect as the first trailer, which leaked online earlier this week, has now been confirmed real, giving fans an early look at what to expect from this massive MCU event.
The buildup to Doomsday is already creating buzz as audiences piece together glimpses of returning heroes and surprising twists. One year out and the hype clock is officially ticking.
Now Streaming: Queen of Coal (Miss Carbón)
Miss Carbón officially premiered on Netflix this Friday, and it is every bit as powerful and moving as promised. Inspired by real events, the film follows Carlita, a trans woman determined to claim her place in the coal mines of Patagonia, challenging deeply rooted gender norms, superstition, and systemic barriers along the way.
Lux delivers a truly wonderful performance, grounded, compassionate, and quietly fierce, bringing remarkable depth and humanity to Carlita’s journey. Directed by Agustina Macri and written by Erika Halvorsen and Mara Pescio, the film is a moving celebration of resilience, identity, and courage. The film is available dubbed or with subtitles, so please seek it out, watch it, support Lux, and be sure to give it a thumbs up on Netflix to help it reach even more viewers.

Belén Makes the Oscar Shortlist
Belén has officially been shortlisted for the Academy Award for Best International Feature, a major milestone for the film directed by Dolores Fonzi and based on Somos Belén by Ana Correa. The recognition feels especially meaningful for a story rooted in empathy, dignity, and lived experience.
Pedro shared the news with clear pride, celebrating his sister and producer Javiera along with the entire Belén team, and we are cheering right along with them. It is powerful to see stories like this recognized and supported on a global stage.

Extended Mandalorian and Grogu Trailer Debuts in Theaters
With the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, theaters have quietly become the place to catch some of the most anticipated trailers right now. Not only is Avengers: Doomsday attached to the film, but an updated trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is also screening exclusively on the big screen.
While the Mandalorian and Grogu trailer hasn’t been officially released online, this extended cut includes a few seconds of previously unseen footage. Highlights include a longer look at the monster fight inside Rotta the Hutt’s arena, featuring new creatures that eagle-eyed fans may recognize. The trailer opens on a quieter moment, with Din Djarin preparing Grogu for danger, offering practical advice about armor and movement that underscores his role as mentor and Grogu’s growing path as a Mandalorian apprentice. It’s a small but meaningful moment that reinforces the heart of their story.

Three Hearts, One Night, Zero Subtlety ❤️🏒
Fellow fans noticed Pedro having a very relatable moment on Instagram this weekend. He didn’t just like a post about Heated Rivalry. He liked multiple posts and commented on one, leaving three red hearts like someone who absolutely binge watched the show over the weekend and had feelings about it.
Three hearts isn’t casual engagement. That’s “I hit next episode without hesitation.” If Pedro is publicly heart stamping a series centered on the intense, secret romance between rival pro hockey players Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, we’re choosing to believe he settled in, powered through it, and emerged fully invested just like the rest of us would.
Message received. Pedro binge watched. Pedro approved. Now it’s clearly our turn. Heated Rivalry is streaming on Crave in Canada and on HBO Max in the United States and Australia.

And as if the three heart comment wasn’t enough, the creator of the post replied and Pedro responded right back with a 🫠, fully confirming that yes, he absolutely binge watched this weekend and knew exactly what he was doing..

WE WON! THANKS TO YOU!
In our last issue, we spoke about access to safe abortion, the vote in the European Parliament, and how My Voice, My Choice was shadow-banned. You-the Pedro fandom-stood with us, broke the algorithm, and helped push this through. We won. The message landed, and the European Union has taken a historic step toward guaranteeing access to safe abortion.

Giftgiving with Pedro Boys
or
What would Pedro boys wish for Christmas and what would they give you

Clint
Secretly, this enforcer on his last job before settling down is hoping someone will give him a quaint “World’s Best Dad” mug – a touch of normalcy to prove he’s left knee-cap busting behind for bedtime stories. It’s an absurdly tender wish from a guy who once solved late payments with punches.
He gives you a battered but perfectly tuned record player with a single vinyl: Roy Orbison’s Greatest Hits — no card, just a knowing nod.

Dave York
He would hand you an expensive leather briefcase with a top-of-the-line GPS – ostensibly a gift to “keep you safe,” but, knowing Dave, probably so he can track your every move. After all, this former friend-turned-foe isn’t above mixing business and personal.
Meanwhile, he secretly yearns for something no black-ops budget can buy: one honest friend who won’t fake their death on him. Barring that, he’d settle for a shiny new set of chef’s knives – not for cooking, mind you….

Dieter Bravo
He would gift you an autographed portrait of himself – shirt half open, smolder on full blast. In true veteran-actor fashion, he frames it as “motivational art” for your wall (Oscar-winners love doing that).
After months in quarantine, the man just craves a drama-free zone where the only high he’s chasing is a sugar rush from room service dessert – hold the hard drugs, hold the crazed dinos. And maybe the one true love.

Din Djarin
He would give you a palm-sized chunk of Beskar forged into a stylish keychain – half protective talisman, half subtle tracking fob (just in case you wander off on Nevarro).
Secretly, Mando just wants a quiet afternoon where no one puts a bounty on his head – maybe sipping bone broth with his tiny green sidekick as the galaxy leaves them alone for once. And maybe, as Clint, he would love a “Galaxy’s Best Dad” mug…

Ezra
He comes bearing a gift of “fortune” – specifically, a curious little vial of amber-colored alien gem shards he claims are rare Aurelac riches. Of course, this charming yet menacing prospector’s likely skimming the best pieces for himself (scoundrel habits die hard).
What does Ezra secretly crave? Simple: a one-way ticket off that cursed Green Moon and a pouch full of genuine Aurelac for his troubles. After walking the fine line between ally and threat so long, he dreams of striking it rich and retiring somewhere he doesn’t risk any limbs.

Francisco “Catfish” Morales
He shows up at your door with a gift of genuine Southern hospitality: a heaping plate of fried catfish he cooked himself (pilot by trade, chef by hobby). He’ll grin and say he’s got time to perfect recipes now that his pilot’s license is on extended vacation due to, uh, “some misunderstandings” with a drug test.
Beneath the good-old-boy charm, Frankie secretly wants one thing this holiday: a helicopter that can carry $250 million without falling out of the sky.

Harry Castillo
He gives lavishly by default. Expect a gift from him like first-class tickets to Reykjavik and a platinum dinner voucher – ostensibly because “Iceland is lovely this time of year,” but also conveniently where he almost proposed to someone (he’s nothing if not dramatic).
After spending $200K on leg-lengthening surgery to meet literally higher standards, what Harry wants under the tree is a pair of cozy slippers and someone who’ll love him at his original height.

Jack “Whiskey” Daniels
He moseys in with a bottle of top-shelf Statesman bourbon as a gift, naturally. It’s the special reserve stuff – “aged to perfection, just like my lasso technique,” he drawls with a wink, sliding it over with a genuine cowboy flourish.
Barring a Christmas miracle of that magnitude, he’ll settle for a new electrified lasso that never misses…

Javi Gutierrez
He greets you with the most extravagant gift his super-fan heart can imagine: a private screening kit for Paddington 2, complete with a signed personal note detailing how it “made him want to be a better man”. He’s included monogrammed silk handkerchiefs (for the inevitable happy tears) and a life-size cardboard Nicolas Cage cutout to sit beside you – so you’ll truly share in his passions.
This wealthy, wide-eyed movie buff secretly wishes he could receive the one thing money can’t buy: genuine friendship and creative kinship. He’s got all the props, scripts, and island villas in the world, but what Javi really wants is a buddy to watch his favorite film with – or better yet, for his idol-turned-BFF to show up at his holiday party.

Javier Peña
He slides you a gift across the table: a bag of the finest Colombian coffee beans he could get his hands on (no cartel strings attached).
The DEA’s most world-weary agent just wants a silent night – literally. No radios crackling about drug lords, no paperwork, no ghosts of Escobar. After years in the drug war, he yearns for a quiet ranch life on the Texas border, tending horses instead of informants…

Joel Miller
He isn’t the most material guy in the apocalypse, but he’d scavenge a meaningful gift for you: a tin of rare coffee grounds he found on a supply run. In a world of 20-year-old Chef Boyardee, a hot cup of real coffee is a treasure
Wants nothing extravagant – just one peaceful Christmas morning. Joel dreams of a day where the only thing sneaking up on him is Ellie with a bad pun, not a Clicker, where he can strum his guitar by the fireplace and watch over his loved ones without a gun in arm’s reach.

Marcus Moreno
He shows up with the ultimate super-dad gift: a custom gadget from Heroics HQ that’s half protective shield, half high-tech nanny cam. “You’ll never miss a school pickup or alien invasion alert with this on your wrist,” he jokes
What Marcus secretly wants, however, is pretty down-to-earth: a day off to make pancakes with his daughter Missy, no emergencies attached. His Christmas wish is simply a guilt-free morning where “leader of The Heroics” takes a backseat to “Dad in pajamas.”

Marcus Pike
His gift to you is nothing if not thoughtful: an elegant framed print of a classic Monet, straight from the FBI art-crimes evidence locker (don’t worry, it’s legitimately released – he has some pull on the sixth floor). He even inscribes the back with “Keep life picture-perfect”, signed with a modest flourish.
He still hopes the universe might return the favor. In a perfect world, he’d wake up on Christmas to find a loving partner by his side who actually wants the suburban happily-ever-after he has waiting in storage (rings and all). Short of that, he’d settle for a promotion and a transfer far from heartbreak, but he wishes for everlasting love.

Max Phillips
Our friendly new sales manager (with a not-so-friendly nocturnal habit), hands you a gift basket brimming with…energy drinks. Red ones. Thick, crimson “special recipe” energy drinks. He insists they’ll do wonders for your productivity – “Our whole office has been killing it lately,”
What does this secretly fanged office alpha want in return? Unlimited overtime, by which we mean an endless supply of fresh projects (read: people) to “turn” for the company.

Maxwell Lord
He shows up with a gleaming crystal Dreamstone paperweight as your gift, delivering his sales pitch with game-show gusto: “Life is good…but it can be better!” He encourages you to hold the stone and make a wish – any wish – as he flashes that televangelist grin. He neglects to mention the fine print: every wish comes with world-ending side effects and a mandatory 50% cut for him.
Deep down (buried under a pile of failed investments and magical fallout), Max secretly wants something far simpler than global power. He longs for his son’s genuine love and a second chance at being a decent dad.

Pero Tovar
His gift to you comes in a burlap sack that smells faintly of gunpowder – because it is gunpowder. “For your fireworks, my friend!” he says with a roguish grin, as if he didn’t just hand you contraband that could blow a hole through the Great Wall.
What Pero secretly wants, though, isn’t another battle or heist – it’s to get the hell back to Spain in one piece, rich. And food - lots of food!!

Silva
He rides into town after 25 years with gift in hand: a beautifully tooled leather saddle, customized with your initials entwined in a heart. He’ll claim it’s just a friendly gesture from a rancher who crafts in his spare time, but anyone who’s seen the way this cowboy looks at his old compañero Jake can read between the lines.
He wishes for that ranch life he dreamed of with the one he never forgot – two weathered gunslingers living openly, tending horses by day and keeping each other warm by the campfire at night. In his ideal world, there are no posse judgments, no unfinished business, just a pair of old fools in love on their own little plot of land.

The Pascal Pulse Secret Santa Is in Motion and
the Joy Is Already Arriving
Our The Pascal Pulse Secret Santa gifts are already being delivered, and seeing our recipients’ reactions has been pure joy. Another standout perfectly captures what this exchange is all about: cozy chaos in the best way. Created by Pink_Pigtail, the artwork is beautifully rendered with soft lighting and rich detail, showing Joel Miller at rest with his guard down, holiday lights glowing, and just enough edge to keep him unmistakably himself. It is warm, intimate, festive yet grounded, and clearly made with real care, time, and love. A truly thoughtful gift that reflects both a deep understanding of the character and the artist’s heart behind the work.
We have already seen so many wonderful outcomes shared with us, and with Christmas week here, it has been especially lovely watching these gifts find their way to their recipients. If you would like to share your Secret Santa gift, feel free to send us a DM and we will happily publish it.
Dear readers, we hope you enjoyed taking part as much as we did. This feels like a beautiful way to close out the year, and we already cannot wait to do it again next year. Thank you all for participating and helping turn this into a fandom tradition ❤️

When Fandom Shows Up for Good
This is absolutely a good cause to take our money. This holiday season, Pedro Pascal Nation on X is hosting a fundraiser benefiting The Pad Project, an organization dedicated to providing menstrual products, education, and advocacy so no one has to miss school or opportunities because of their period.
Menstrual inequity is still a real barrier for so many, and this fundraiser directly supports access, dignity, and education. If you’re looking to put your money toward something that genuinely makes a difference, this is a solid and meaningful choice. Donate here.
Take My Money: Holiday Reminder 🎁
Don’t forget to check out our Take My Money Holiday Shopping Guide! It’s packed with Pedro-inspired gifts, handmade creations, and small business treasures from some of our favorite fandom artists and shops.
Whether you’re still finishing your list or just in the mood to treat yourself, it’s the perfect place to find thoughtful, Pedro-coded presents and support the creators who make this fandom shine.
