Welcome to Issue 29 of The Pascal Pulse
This newsletter has always been a place of joy, a little refuge where we come together to celebrate Pedro Pascal and the happiness his work brings into our lives. We laugh, we swoon, we escape the heaviness of the world for a moment, and we need that. But like Pedro, we also can’t always look away.
Pedro’s platform isn’t just for the fun, the fandom, and the lighthearted moments we treasure. Sometimes, he uses it to help us see what’s happening around us, not to overwhelm, but to bear witness and remind us that empathy still matters.
Earlier this week, he shared a video from Camila Vallejo about Venezuela, a clip warning that the country could lose control of its oil without first regaining its democracy, and that threats to national sovereignty over strategic resources set a dangerous precedent for all of Latin America. The message was urgent and sobering, underscoring that democracy and self determination are not negotiable. 👉👉 [Link to Pedro’s post of Camila Vallejo’s speech]
Then, as news spread about the killing of Renee Nicole Good in Minnesota, Pedro shared a TikTok by artist and creator Jesse Welles and wrote simply and devastatingly:
“Unspeakable shit after unspeakable shit after unspeakable shit. Donate to @chirla_org @humanrightswatch.”
Renee was a mother. A wife. A poet. A white woman. A whole human being with a life, a family, and a future. And if something like this can happen in broad daylight to someone who fits the category society so often protects and believes first, it forces us to confront an even more painful truth, how much more vulnerable those deemed “less than” by this administration are when no one is watching, when there are no cameras, and when their stories are easier to dismiss.
We know Pedro feels what so many of us feel, the helplessness, the grief, the exhaustion of watching injustice unfold again and again. And yet, he continues to stand on the side of what he believes is right, even when it comes with risk. Speaking out, especially with a platform as visible as his, is never without consequence.
And he doesn’t stop at sharing. This Saturday, Pedro co-hosted a benefit show where all proceeds will be split equally between the Sudanese American Physicians Association and the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, offering real support to people in crisis. 👉 [Link: artistsforaid.org]
We know The Pascal Pulse is a place of happiness and escape. It’s where we come to celebrate, to breathe, to feel a little lighter. But like Pedro, we can’t fully look away from the world we’re living in, even when it’s painful.
We hope the rest of this issue brings you comfort, warmth, and joy. And we’re grateful to be part of a community that can hold both, the love, and the truth, at the same time.

Love as a Radical Act: Pedro Pascal at Artists for Aid
During Artists for Aid at the Shrine in Los Angeles last night, which Pedro co-hosted alongside Bella Hadid, he spoke with clarity and deep compassion about the moment we are living in. He reminded us that “for many of us, this suffering is unfathomable,” and that now, more than ever, “love itself is a radical act when living under regimes that render anyone invisible.” He spoke to how state violence anywhere is a threat to us all, and how once you truly see it, it becomes impossible to look away, from Sudan and Palestine, from the Indigenous people of this country to the displaced. His words carried a powerful truth: all our suffering is connected, all our searching for home is connected, and “we are each other’s magnitude and bond.”
BEHEMOTH! - Casting Shake-Up
Tony Gilroy’s upcoming drama Behemoth!, starring Pedro, is seeing a notable cast change. David Harbour has officially exited the project, with reports indicating Will Arnett is stepping in to replace him. While details about the role remain under wraps, production appears to be moving forward smoothly. Given the casting change, we think some reshoots or adjustments may be taking place, which would align with Pedro’s recent visit to Mira for a beard trim and haircut, which she stated was for continuity, though nothing has been officially confirmed. We also saw Harbour on set during filming, confirming he had already completed some scenes.
Harbour’s departure reportedly followed an intense press cycle and the emotional wrap-up of the final season of Stranger Things, after which he chose to step back and rest. Mental health should always come first. Behemoth! continues to generate serious buzz, and we’re still firmly seated for whatever this intense drama has in store.

A Cozy Visit to Mira’s
Speaking of Behemoth!, we also got two new photos of Pedro looking especially cozy during a visit to Mira’s for a beard trim and haircut. She shared them with a caption noting the visit was for continuity, which, paired with the recent recasting, hints that Mira’s expertise is crucial to ensure the length of those beautiful curls remain consistent on those reshoots.
Fantastic Recognition
The Fantastic Four: First Steps has received a nomination for Best Fantasy Feature Film at the Art Directors Guild Excellence in Production Design Awards, highlighting the film’s bold visual identity and detailed world-building. The ADG Awards honor outstanding achievement in production design and art direction across film and television, with the 2026 ceremony set for February 28, 2026.

Avengers: Doomsday Bring Snacks (and a Blanket)
If you’re planning a theatrical marathon, start stretching now. Avengers: Doomsday is reportedly clocking in at 3 hours and 45 minutes, including end-credit scenes. No official confirmation yet, but if true, this would make it one of Marvel’s longest films to date, and yes, we will be holding our pee and seated for all of it. AMC, Cinemark, and Alamo Drafthouse: it’s time for your marketing teams to be bold by doing a collab with adult diapers for this movie!
Avengers: Doomsday “I Broke Pedro” Edition
New details are starting to trickle in everyday about what we can expect from Avengers: Doomsday, and they already sound intense. Alan Cumming recently teased a fight scene involving Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards, and during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! he jokingly claimed he may have injured his co-star.
As Cumming put it: “What was funny was my first scene with Pedro. He hurt his neck and had to go home. I broke Pedro.”
“I broke Pedro” honestly deserves to be on a T-shirt at this point. Poor Pedro, he later used cupping therapy to help with his recovery, so clearly Reed Richards is already going through it. Whether Cumming was actually responsible or just being cheeky, the story definitely hints at physically demanding scenes and high-stakes action ahead for Doomsday.
A Fresh Look at Din & Grogu
A new image from The Mandalorian and Grogu has surfaced via USA Today, offering another glimpse at Din Djarin and Grogu as they transition to the big screen. The tone feels cinematic and grounded, hinting at the scale Lucasfilm is bringing to their theatrical return.

Anticipation Is Building For Our Favorite Duo
The Mandalorian and Grogu has officially been named one of Rolling Stone’s 50 most anticipated movies of 2026, a strong endorsement as excitement continues to build for the duo’s theatrical debut. Adding to the momentum, according to reports, a new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu is expected to debut during the Super Bowl in February. While not yet confirmed, the timing would make perfect sense and we’ll be watching closely. It’s also expected that we could see the full trailer for Avengers: Doomsday that night, making it a big moment for both Star Wars and Marvel fans.
Best Body of Work -Well Deserved
Pedro has won Best Body of Work at the 2025 Oklahoma Film Critics Circle Awards for his performances in Materialists, Eddington, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s a meaningful acknowledgment of the range, consistency, and depth he brought to a standout year of performances.

GLAAD Media Awards Nominees Announced
The GLAAD Media Awards celebrate inclusive LGBTQ+ representation across film, television, and digital media, and the full list of nominees for the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards has now been announced.
Among the nominees for Outstanding Film – Streaming or TV is Queen of Coal (Miss Carbón), starring Lux. The film is now streaming on Netflix, and its nomination highlights the continued impact of authentic, inclusive storytelling. Congratulations to Lux, we’re so proud of her and the movie.

Flashback Time: CCXP Brazil 2022
We also got three newly surfaced photos from CCXP Brazil (December 2022), shared by Brazilian photographer Jorge Bispo. The shots feature Pedro alongside Craig Mazin, Bella Ramsey, and Neil Druckmann during their promotional appearance, which is a great throwback to that unforgettable CCXP moment.
Lux Pascal for W Magazine x Louis Vuitton
We got some absolutely stunning new photos of Lux Pascal from the Awards Season Dinner with W Magazine in Los Angeles. The look is sleek and elegant, consisting of a black lace-trim mini dress, knee-high boots, and a classic LV chain bag. Worn to perfection by Lux, it’s confident, timeless, and effortlessly chic.
Earlier in the week, we were also treated to an adorable photo of Lux with Javiera, the two of them looking like absolute peas in a pod, all warmth, love, and sisterly energy.

When Pedro’s Characters Met a Witch:
A Multiverse Reading Gone Wild

Javier Peña
The witch flips a card and sighs. “You attract danger, bad men, and women who deserve better.”
Javier nods like she just read him a menu. Leaves without paying, promises to come back, never does.

Oberyn Martell
The witch barely starts before Oberyn says, “You’re going to tell me I die dramatically, aren’t you?”
She stares. He winks. Destiny files a restraining order.

Din Djarin
The witch: “Your path is tied to a small green force gremlin.”
Din: “This is the Way.”
The witch has no idea what that means but feels spiritually intimidated.

Joel Miller
The witch gently: “You will love someone like a daughter.”
Joel: “That’s… not funny.”
The witch quietly pushes the tissues across the table.

Whiskey
The witch says, “You’re charming, dangerous, and emotionally unavailable.”
Whiskey tips his hat. “Ma’am, that’s my résumé.”

Maxwell Lord
The witch: “Your problem is wanting too much.”
Max: “That’s not a problem, that’s capitalism.”

Dave York
The witch flips one card and immediately regrets it.
“Betrayal. Guilt. Regret.”
Dave: “You got anything lighter?”
The witch: “No.”

Frankie Morales
The witch: “You will survive impossible odds but never your own decisions.”
Frankie: “Cool. Hate that.”

Ezra
The witch: “You’re morally flexible.”
Ezra: “That’s a polite way to say ‘disaster man.’”

Javi Gutiérrez
The witch: “You’re destined to meet your hero.”
Javi already crying: “I KNEW IT.”

Pero Tovar
The witch: “You’ll fight monsters.”
Pero: “Finally, a normal Tuesday.”

Marcus Moreno
The witch: “Your greatest mission is fatherhood.”
Marcus straightens like he just got knighted by destiny itself.

Dieter Bravo
The witch: “You are chaos in human form.”
Dieter: “Thank you, I’ve been working on that.”

Acacius
The witch: “Your destiny is heavy.”
Lucius: “Isn’t it always in Rome?”

Harry Castillo
The witch pulls three cards and immediately gets tired.
“Ambition. Control. Complicated feelings you pretend are spreadsheets.”
Harry adjusts his suit. “Feelings aren’t in the budget.”

Reed Richards
The witch: “You stretch yourself too thin.”
Reed: “Emotionally or physically?”
The witch: “Yes.”

Artist Highlight: @patlsv.art
This breathtaking piece, Vision Board, is currently shining in the COSMOSIS Fine Art Showcase at the Limelight Gallery inside Binders Art & Frames in Atlanta, GA and we could not be happier for Pati. The radiant gold halo, bold color blocking, and layered symbolism give the portrait an almost sacred presence, blending street art energy with icon-like reverence. It feels like a meditation on inspiration, strength, and becoming, of which is deeply personal yet powerfully universal.
Huge congratulations to Pati on such a beautiful piece and on being part of COSMOSIS. This is such a well deserved moment, and seeing her work celebrated in a gallery space is truly special.
If you fall in love with this piece like we did, she is also offering limited prints. You can contact her directly through her Instagram @patlsv.art via DM for availability and details.
Pedrotober Artist & Creator Appreciation
Seeing the Pedrotober Class of 2025 come together is such a beautiful reminder of what this community creates when imagination and love for art collide. So many artists showing up, staying consistent, and sharing their talent week after week, each piece bringing its own voice, style, and emotion.
A huge thank you to every single creator who took part (there were over 70 of you!) and helped make this challenge such a memorable experience. Your work, your dedication, and your creativity deserve all the applause.
And a special thank you to north.the.lemon and alyssamariag for all the heart, organization, and encouragement they pour into making Pedrotober happen, and to @morguedesign for creating the challenge that brings everyone together in the first place. This community exists because of the care and creativity you all put into it, and we are so grateful.

Movie Recommendation: Sentimental Value
Pedro spotlighted Sentimental Value, directed by Joachim Trier and now in theaters as of November 7, 2025. The film stars Renate Reinsve, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas, Stellan Skarsgård, and Elle Fanning.
The story follows sisters Nora and Agnes as they reunite with their estranged father, Gustav, a once-renowned director hoping for a career comeback. When Nora turns down a role in his new film, Gustav gives it instead to an eager young Hollywood actress, dropping her right into the middle of an already complicated family dynamic. What follows is an emotionally layered exploration of art, ambition, and unresolved family ties.
We’re still completely obsessed with Heated Rivalry after Pedro recently liked posts about it (very subtle of him, sir), so adding Sentimental Value to his recommendation list just means our watchlist and our feelings are officially out of control. We are ready to ugly cry!
