Welcome to Issue 34 of The Pascal Pulse
This week, as Valentine’s Day passes and hearts, flowers, and love notes fill our feeds, we’re spotlighting a different kind of romance. The kind that starts within.
In her recent Coveteur profile, Lux Pascal opens up about renewal, courage, creativity, and the ongoing work of becoming comfortable in your own skin. It is a story that feels especially meaningful right now, in this post Valentine’s moment where the focus gently shifts from “Who do I love?” to “How do I love myself?”
And Lux embodies that question beautifully.
Her journey is not about perfection or overnight success. It is about choosing growth. Choosing honesty. Choosing joy. Choosing to show up, even when it is scary, and trusting that your voice, your presence, and your story deserve space in the world.
What stands out most in her interview is her warmth and self awareness. She speaks about fear not as something that holds her back, but as something she learns to move through. She embraces renewal over rigid resolutions, curiosity over comparison, and authenticity over expectation. It is a mindset that feels quietly powerful and incredibly relatable.
For many of us, Valentine’s Day can bring complicated emotions. Love can look like celebration, longing, gratitude, reflection, or all of the above. Lux’s story reminds us that self love is not a cliché. It is a practice. It is giving yourself permission to grow, to rest, to take up space, and to be proud of who you are becoming.
As an artist, she continues to build a career rooted in intention and courage, moving confidently between cultures, mediums, and creative spaces. As a public figure, she uses her platform with grace and purpose. And as a person, she shows us that vulnerability and strength can exist side by side.
That is a love story worth celebrating.
So this week, we are sending our admiration to Lux for her light, her honesty, and her fearless commitment to being herself. May her journey remind us all that the most lasting kind of love begins when we choose to honor our own voices and our own worth.
Happy belated Valentine’s Day, Pulse readers. Be gentle with yourselves. Be proud of your growth. And never forget, you are worthy of every bit of love you give.

Pedro, La Casita, and a Super Bowl Moment to Remember
One of the highlights that kicked off this past week was seeing Pedro join Bad Bunny during the Super Bowl halftime show, dancing in La Casita alongside Karol G, Cardi B, and Jessica Alba.
Beyond the music and choreography, the moment was deeply symbolic and unifying. Even if you don’t speak Spanish (shoutout to everyone who barely survived high school Spanish and is still trying to catch up on Duolingo lessons), you could still feel the pride, joy, and love behind every part of the performance. It was a celebration of culture, community, and belonging that reached far beyond language.
We also loved the behind-the-scenes content from Ana, including Pedro practicing his dance moves beforehand (with his ever-present nicotine gum making a cameo). It was such a fun reminder of how much care he puts into everything he does.
We were especially moved by how proudly Pedro showed up for Benito and the message they were sharing. And that closing moment, reminding us that North America and South America are all America, made it even more powerful. A beautiful reminder that our stories, cultures, and communities are connected. Sending so much love to our Puerto Rican and South American friends, to all Americans across the entire continent, this moment was for you.

Lux Shines in FX’s The Beauty Episode 6

Lux joined The Beauty in episode 6 as Clara, a scientist who discovers the experimental “beauty” drug and dreams of finally becoming who she’s always known herself to be. In an episode told largely through flashbacks, Clara and her colleague Mike learn about the treatment and wrestle with the risks before deciding to take the leap.
Unlike the show’s usual violent, haunting transformations, Clara’s journey is gentle and affirming. She wakes up peacefully, looks in the mirror, and realizes the drug truly worked. Speaking to PEOPLE, Lux describes the moment as the series’ one true “fairytale,” a rare gift of softness in Ryan Murphy’s dark and unsettling world.
It’s a beautiful, emotional performance and one of the most memorable episodes of the season. Be sure to watch episode 6 and show your support for Lux’s incredible work. New episodes air Wednesdays on FX and stream on Hulu.
A Nostalgic Super Bowl Spotlight for Mando and Grogu
The Super Bowl spot for The Mandalorian and Grogu reached over 120 million viewers and delivered a perfectly nostalgic, emotional moment. Directed by Jon Favreau and featuring a voiceover by Sam Elliott, the 37-second ad followed Mando and Grogu on a snowy journey, spotlighting our beloved hero, Din Djarin and his green bean Grogu.
With its warmth and cinematic storytelling, the timeless, heartfelt, and unforgettable spot gave major Anheuser-Busch Clydesdales vibes, making it the perfect lead-up to their big-screen debut.
Javiera Shines at Prime Video’s Global Showcase

This week at Prime Video’s International Originals event in London, Javiera was one of several inspiring women leaders from Prime Video helping spotlight the future of global storytelling. While the evening celebrated many voices, Javiera stood out for her thoughtful leadership and commitment to elevating Latin American stories on a worldwide stage.
She highlighted powerful projects like Argentina, 1985, Belén, and The House of the Spirits, emphasizing the importance of sharing stories that reflect resilience, humanity, and cultural depth. Under her guidance, The House of the Spirits, based on the novel by Isabel Allende, is being developed as a major series filmed in Chile with a largely Latin American creative team.
As one of the standout women representing Amazon’s creative leadership, Javiera continues to shape international storytelling with vision, care, and purpose, and we’re proud to see her thriving on the global stage.
A Friendship Beyond Narcos

In a recent conversation on Sad Happy Confused with Josh Horowitz, Wagner Moura reflected on filming Narcos and shared a touching story about his friendship with Pedro. He recalled how Pedro supported him during his move to the United States by helping write a character reference and immigration support letter, a quiet act of kindness that speaks volumes about the bond they formed.

Pedro Brings His Voice to The Mandalorian Visual Guide
It’s been confirmed that Pedro Pascal will be writing the foreword for the upcoming Star Wars: The Mandalorian: The Visual Guide, and we could not love this more.
Pedro bringing his voice to the page is always something special, and knowing he’ll be personally introducing fans to the world of The Mandalorian makes this book an even bigger must-have. It’s such a meaningful way for him to connect with the story, the characters, and the fans who love them.
We always love seeing Pedro write, and this feels like a beautiful extension of his journey as Din Djarin. This one is definitely going on our preorder list.

Jon Favreau Shares Exciting Updates at NY Toy Fair
While at New York Toy Fair, Jon Favreau teased new details about The Mandalorian and Grogu, sharing that Grogu has “leveled up” since we last saw him. Now back in a Razor Crest–style ship, Grogu carries both Jedi influence from his training with Luke and his path as an apprentice Mandalorian, meaning it’s officially time for dad to take him on bigger adventures.
Jon also confirmed they’re currently finishing the film, hinting that more clues will be revealed soon, with a trailer suggested to be on the way…
A Promising Sign for Mando’s Future
Speaking of Mando… there may be more adventures ahead. Production Weekly, Issue 1489 (Thursday, February 12, 2026) included a listing suggesting that The Mandalorian Season 4 could be moving forward.

London Calling: Avengers: Doomsday Red Carpet Set
Mark Your Calendars! The London red carpet premiere for Avengers: Doomsday is officially set for December 7, 2026 in Leicester Square, an exciting prelude to the film’s theatrical release later that month on December 18.
This star-studded event will bring together cast, creatives, media, and fans for one of the year’s biggest cinematic celebrations in the UK. Whether you’re hoping for sneak peeks, red carpet moments, or just want to feel the buzz of the Marvel Universe live in London, it’s a date worth noting!

Holding Mr. Mingo in Our Hearts
Mira Chai Hyde (@mirachai) shared some heartwarming photos of Pedro spending time with her and her dog, captioning them, “Pedro needed some loving care for his hair and #mrmingo and I needed some loving care from Pedro #lastkiss.” The images captured a tender, lighthearted moment, a beautiful glimpse of warmth, friendship, and Pedro being effortlessly sweet.
In the comments, Mira shared that Mr. Mingo is doing poorly and is now on palliative care, adding that it may be the last time Pedro gets to see her. 💔
Our hearts are with them. Sending love, comfort, and positive thoughts to Mira, to Pedro, and especially to sweet Mr. Mingo. Pets are family, and moments like these carry so much weight. Holding them all in warmth and care.
Lux Pascal’s Chic NYFW Moment
Lux Pascal gave us a stylish behind-the-scenes look as she got ready to sit front row at Carolina Herrera during New York Fashion Week. From her polished beauty details to her effortless elegance, Lux shared the experience as she headed to see Wes Gordon’s Fall ’26 collection, she even joked in the comments that she was unintentionally celebrating Valentine’s Day in red, white, and red.
As a perfect mix of fashion, fun, and confidence, we love seeing Lux shine on and off the runway.

Lux Reflects on Her Cut Scene in Babygirl
In a recent interview with Coveteur, Lux opened up about having a scene cut from Babygirl, directed by Halina Reijn and starring Nicole Kidman. Rather than seeing it as a setback, Lux spoke with confidence and grace, saying rejection no longer scares her and that she trusts her path forward. She even called the finished movie “perfect,” reflecting the self-belief and resilience we highlighted in this week’s editorial. It’s another reminder that choosing growth and self-trust is part of her story and one worth celebrating.

Backstage on Broadway

Pedro spent Friday night at Manhattan Theatre Club’s Broadway production of Tracy Letts’ BUG, posing backstage with Randall Arney, Carrie Coon, Jennifer Engstrom, Namir Smallwood, and Steve Key. It is always wonderful to see him championing live theatre and supporting the creative community that continues to inspire so much of the work we love. We are patiently waiting for Pedro to return to the stage, and we hope that day comes very soon.

Valentine’s Day may be over, but the love from Pedro’s characters is still going strong. From quiet, heartfelt notes to dramatic love letters and totally unhinged emotional manifestos, each one has their own very specific way of saying “I love you.” So if one of Pedro’s most iconic characters slipped you a Valentine’s card this year, what would it actually be like? Let’s find out:

Joel Miller
Joel buys a simple, plain card with no glitter and no jokes. Inside, he writes a short, slightly messy message about how he’s not good with words but loves you more than anything. He crosses things out and rewrites them. He hands it to you awkwardly and pretends it’s not a big deal, even though he thought about it for weeks. You cry immediately and keep it forever.

Din Djarin
Din stands in the card aisle forever trying to choose the right one and clearly overthinking every option. He gets flustered, turns for one second, and realizes Grogu has already grabbed a card… that may or may not have been in another customer’s hands. Din apologizes, buys that one anyway, and decides it’s the correct choice now. Inside, he writes about loyalty, protection, and always being there for you, signing it carefully while Grogu adds his own “decorations.” It somehow becomes one of the most romantic cards you’ve ever received.

Oberyn Martell
Oberyn doesn’t buy a card. He writes you a handwritten letter on beautiful paper in multiple languages, filled with poetry, compliments, and lines that make you blush. He reads it out loud while holding your hands and making intense eye contact. You are emotionally overwhelmed by the end.

Javi Gutierrez
Javi buys several cards and can’t decide, so he uses all of them. He tapes them together and fills them with heartfelt messages, doodles, and inside jokes. He also includes at least five movie quotes about love, destiny, and soulmates, complete with references and explanations. Somewhere in the middle he writes, “You are my favorite movie and my favorite person.” He cries while you read it. You cry, too.

Dieter Bravo
Dieter forgets to buy a card and panics. He writes one late at night on whatever paper he can find. It turns into a long emotional manifesto about love, destiny, art, and you. There are drawings, crossed-out lines, and dramatic confessions. He hands it to you folded a dozen times and says, “This is my soul.”

Frankie Morales
Frankie spends forever picking a card and chooses one that says something simple like “You’re Amazing.” Inside, he writes a nervous but heartfelt message about how much he loves and appreciates you. He rereads it five times before giving it to you. It’s sweet, sincere, and perfect.

Reed Richards
Reed gives you a card he researched for days. Inside is a carefully written message about science, fate, and how unlikely it was that he’d find someone like you. He explains it for ten minutes afterward. You don’t understand half of it, but you love that he tried so hard.

Marcus Moreno
Marcus gives you a thoughtful card that Missy helped him pick out. Inside, he writes about how grateful he is for you and how much you mean to his family. He also reminds you to eat dessert later. It’s loving, nurturing, and full of dad energy.

Max Lord
Max gives you a flashy card that looks expensive and important. Inside, he writes about how special you are and how lucky you are to be with him. His assistant definitely helped. He presents it like a business pitch and waits for praise.

Ezra
Ezra gives you a slightly beat-up card he “found,” but inside is a surprisingly poetic message about survival, loyalty, and choosing you every time. It’s dramatic, heartfelt, and a little strange. You treasure it anyway.

Harry Castillo
Harry gives you an elegant, expensive card with embossed lettering. Inside is a perfectly worded message about how much he values you. He also includes something extra, like tickets or jewelry. Effortless. Thoughtful. Unicorn behavior.

Pero Tovar
Tovar gives you a card he definitely “borrowed” from someone else and crossed out the name. Inside, he writes something unexpectedly charming about how you’re his favorite person. He probably steals some chocolates, too.

Silva
Silva gives you a simple, beautiful card with a quiet, heartfelt message about how much you mean to him. He writes about shared memories, second chances, and how grateful he is to have you in his life. It’s sincere, gentle, and deeply romantic. You keep it in a drawer and reread it when you need comfort.

Javier Peña
Javi buys a card at the last possible minute and pretends he didn’t overthink it. The front is understated, maybe even boring. Inside, though, he surprises you. He writes something honest, a little self-deprecating, and quietly sincere about how you make things feel steadier and brighter. He doesn’t get flowery and he definitely doesn’t read it out loud, but the words land. He hands it to you with a casual shrug and says, “Yeah, well… I meant it.” And somehow, that makes it even better.
