A Year Ago This Week: A Moment That Still Matters
A year ago this week, we got one of those moments that stayed with us. Not a big interview, as it just was Pedro talking to a fan, but if you saw it, you probably remember how it made you feel.
The fan and digital creator, Peter Fouad, had a chance encounter with him and asked something really real. How do you become successful? How do you deal with failure? Later, he shared that Pedro was “exactly the reminder I needed that day,” and honestly, that says everything.
Instead of giving a polished answer, Pedro stopped it right there and said to stop using that word. Failure. He just doesn’t see it that way.
He talked about being alive, waking up, getting another day to try again. That being enough. That being success. And you could tell he meant it.
What stayed with us isn’t just what he said, it’s how he showed up. He listened. When Peter talked about moving countries, learning a new language, and feeling like he was failing, Pedro didn’t agree with that version of his story. He gently pointed out what was already there, the strength, the intelligence, the resilience. He saw it, even when Peter couldn’t.
That’s why it stuck. It didn’t feel like he was just talking to one person. It felt like something a lot of us needed to hear. How many times have we called ourselves a failure when we’re really just in the middle of trying?
And then this week, in a completely different setting, he said something that felt like the same idea in another form. Talking about the camellia brooch he was wearing, he mentioned how simple everything else was, but that piece felt like more, like it was carrying all of his feelings, like his heart was coming out of his chest. And honestly, it feels like that’s always been true. In his own way, he really does wear all of his feelings right there for us to see.
It all connects back. The same honesty, the same presence, the same belief that there’s value in continuing, even when it’s hard.
Maybe that’s why it still hits. It’s not really about success the way we usually think about it. It’s about showing up, trying again, and not deciding that struggle means you’ve failed.
A year later, it still feels worth holding onto. We’re here, we’re trying, and we get another day. That counts.
Just something to hold onto this week.
With love,
Maiev, Mel, and Jackie

De Noche: Long Nights, Kind Moments, and That Rebel Curl
Filming for De Noche is wrapping in Cananea, Sonora, and rumor has it the production may soon move back to Mexico City and another location.
Pedro has been deep in it, filming until 4 a.m. the morning of the Oscars before turning around, jumping on a plane and stepping onto one of the biggest stages in the world. That level of commitment never stops being impressive.
Off camera, locals described him as agradable, saludador y sonriente. Pleasant, always greeting people, always smiling. That tracks. Around 150 locals have been part of the production, many getting the chance to see him up close, and those small moments clearly left an impression. We have added some of these glimpses to our behind the scenes folder here. Danny Ramirez has also been there alongside him, bringing this project to life on location.
And then there is the look. Those set photos. Vintage cars, dusty roads, and Pedro in full character with his hair slicked back and that soft rebel curl falling onto his forehead. Effortless in a way that never feels accidental.
There is something about seeing all of this at once. The long hours. The kindness. The way he fully steps into a moment. And maybe that is why these glimpses from De Noche are hitting the way they are.
We also got a glimpse at the film’s logo, with bold, clean lettering that feels classic, understated, and quietly confident.

The Mandalorian and Grogu Runtime Rumors
A new listing from Odeon Cinemas in the UK has The Mandalorian and Grogu clocking in at 2 hours and 20 minutes, which immediately got fans talking.
On paper, that would make it one of the longer entries in the Star Wars universe and a pretty big leap from the series format we are used to. More story, more Din and Grogu, and more time in that world is never a bad thing.
That said, there is a bit of a catch. As some fans quickly pointed out, Odeon has been known to use 2h20m as a placeholder runtime for upcoming films, so this may not be final just yet.
Still, even the possibility has people excited. Because if that runtime does hold, we are in for a full cinematic experience with plenty of room for character moments, action, and everything in between. For now, we wait.

This Is the Way… to the Premiere
Disney+ Perks is giving fans a chance to win a trip to the The Mandalorian and Grogu world premiere, and yes, we are already imagining the outfits.
One winner and a guest will receive a 3 day, 2 night trip to either Los Angeles or New York in early May 2026, just ahead of the film’s release. Entries are open now through April 16, with one entry per day. No purchase is necessary, but you do have to be 18+ and based in the U.S. or D.C. to enter.
If you have ever dreamed of being in the room where it all happens for a Pedro premiere, this might be your moment.

Oscars 2026
Pedro arrived at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15 in Hollywood wearing custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy, and somehow made one of the night’s most striking looks feel almost disarmingly simple. The outfit skipped the traditional jacket entirely, instead building its shape around a white poplin tuxedo shirt, classic tuxedo trousers with a cummerbund, glossy patent-leather shoes, and a Chanel BOY·FRIEND watch with an 18-karat gold face and black alligator-pattern strap.
What made the look linger, though, was the oversized floral brooch placed directly over his chest. GQ described it as a silk-and-feather camellia, one of Chanel’s most enduring symbols, long associated with elegance, harmony, and a distinct kind of quiet beauty.
Pedro told GQ that what he loved about the look was that it “doesn’t take itself too seriously,” even as it remained “classic,” “beautiful,” and “traditional and a little rebellious at the same time.” It had all the codes of formalwear, but none of the stiffness. Instead, it felt open, personal, and quietly theatrical.
And the more you sit with it, the more there is to see. What felt simple at first glance reveals itself through the details. The camellia, the structure, the balance of softness and precision, all of it working together to create something that felt as emotional as it was elegant.
Maiev breaks this look down beautifully, piece by piece, highlighting the intention behind every detail and why it resonated so deeply. Be sure to check out her full post for the complete breakdown.
Pedro also took the stage during the ceremony, presenting alongside Sigourney Weaver, a moment that felt just as special as the look itself.
As striking as Pedro’s Oscars appearance was, one of the night’s sweetest moments was his reaction to Michael B. Jordan’s Best Actor win for Sinners. Pedro looked genuinely thrilled for him, and that kind of open, wholehearted joy is exactly what makes him so lovable on nights like this. Pedro was cheering so enthusiastically that Delroy Lindo’s wife, Nashormeh Lindo, seemed briefly blocked from standing up herself, a tiny, funny ripple effect that people online immediately turned into a beloved Oscars moment.
And while many continued on to the after parties, Pedro didn’t stay long. He headed straight back to Mexico to continue filming De Noche, a reminder of just how dedicated he is to his work. It made the whole night feel even more impressive. He showed up, gave us a moment, and then went right back to it.

Early Oscar Buzz Builds for Behemoth
It is very early, but the first round of 2027 Oscar predictions is already starting to take shape and Behemoth is in the mix.
Variety’s initial predictions have Behemoth listed in the Best Picture lineup, with Pedro also named as a potential contender in the Best Actor category. At this stage, it is all based on early buzz and industry expectations, but seeing both the film and his name included already says a lot about the anticipation surrounding this movie.
The list itself is stacked with major names and big titles, which makes the inclusion stand out even more. It is one of those moments where you can feel something building before we have even seen a single frame.
It is still early, but if De Noche lands a release this year, it is not hard to imagine it entering the conversation as well. For now, this is one to keep an eye on.
Lux Shines Bright at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party
Lux lit up the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last Sunday, shining completely on her own in a beautifully embellished Tom Ford gown with a soft, flowing scarf detail at the neck. Paired with sleek hair and radiant, understated glam by Ivan Gomez for Chanel Beauty, the look felt effortless, refined, and entirely hers.
The Man Behind the Strength

Jason Walsh is a top performance coach and the founder of Rise Movement, known for working with some of the biggest names in film. He has also been part of Pedro’s training team, helping him build the strength and endurance needed for physically demanding roles.
What stands out about Jason is his approach. It is not just physical. It is mental. It is about building resilience, consistency, and the kind of strength that carries through everything, not just what you see on screen.
You can understand a lot about someone by the people they choose to have around them, and Jason is clearly someone who brings both discipline and heart to what he does.
If you want to learn more about the person behind that kind of work, check out his conversation on the Office Of podcast.
Lux Steps Out for Maison Margiela
Lux attended the Maison Margiela Spring Summer 2026 Cocktail on March 16, 2026 in Los Angeles, bringing her signature effortless style to the evening.
In a structured navy jacket paired with a satin skirt, the look felt refined, modern, and completely her own. Styled with soft glam and her signature fringe, she once again proved that quiet confidence makes the biggest impact.

Artist Highlight: @matt_art_66
There is something about simple linework that just hits, and @matt_art_66 does it beautifully.
For us, his Pedro pieces are where his work really shines. He captures that softness in his expression while still keeping all the detail that makes him instantly recognizable. The lines feel loose but intentional, giving each portrait a sense of movement and life.
There is a quiet emotion to them, too. Nothing is overdone, they’re just expressive sketches that feel like they were studied and understood.
He also takes custom commissions based on photos, which makes his work even more special. Definitely an artist to keep on your radar.

Mandalorian & Grogu Funko Pops

Oh, no…they knew exactly…what they were doing with this one. The first look at the new Funko Pops for The Mandalorian and Grogu just dropped, and yeah…this is a problem…
From Din fully geared up and ready for action to Grogu looking impossibly cute with his little snack in hand, every detail feels like it was designed to emotionally manipulate us in the best way. And it is working. And then you have the additions to the lineup that make it even better. A mix of characters that expands the world just enough while still keeping that core duo front and center.
There is something about seeing them in this format that makes it feel real in a different way. Like, okay, this is happening, this is coming, and it’s coming soon, which means we all have just enough time to pretend we are going to be responsible about it. (We are not.)
Emotional Support Tote Bags

Fangirl Club Shop is giving us tote bags that feel like they were made specifically for this fandom, and we are not even going to pretend we are resisting. From “Lesbian except for Pedro Pascal” to “Sorry you’re not Pedro Pascal,” they somehow manage to be both hilarious and painfully accurate.
And honestly, it makes it even better knowing Pedro himself is a tote bag guy. We have seen the man with his tote bags, we know he loves a good tote, and we love that he loves them. So really, this feels like a full circle moment. Supporting a small shop, repping Pedro, and living our best tote bag life.
As always, consider this your warning. You are probably going to want more than one.
