Welcome to Issue 40 of The Pascal Pulse
“I have the cliché struggling actor story. I was waiting tables in New York, went out to L.A. after graduation, but it didn’t work out. I wanted to cut my teeth in professional theater, so I came back to New York. It made my journey longer, but I really wanted to excel in the theater.”
World Theater Day was Friday. When we think about theater, we think about where Pedro really began. Not the red carpets or global press tours, but the stage. The long road. The kind of work that doesn’t come with instant applause.
Before everything, there was theater. The little theater boy whose mom drove him all the way to the Laguna Playhouse to fulfill her boy’s dreams. From there to Orange County School of the Arts, where that passion was nurtured and given shape, and then to New York University, to classrooms and stages and figuring it out in real time. And then came the work, small theaters in Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., and Off-Broadway in New York, along with workshops that helped nurture the next generation, role by role, night by night, building something steady and real that no one could see yet except him.
And not just acting. Creating. Because somewhere in all of that, he wrote his own play, Flaca Loves Bone, and brought it to life with LAByrinth Theater Company. He also stepped behind the scenes with underneathmybed, written by Florencia Lozano, marking his directorial debut and the start of a broader creative path as a director in the New York theater community. That kind of work says everything. It’s not about waiting to be chosen. It’s about needing to tell a story.
From Wylie and the Hairy Man to Orphans, from Some Men to Lobby Hero, from The Miracle at Naples to Maple and Vine to Beauty of the Father, every role feels like a step in a long, intentional climb, the kind where nothing is rushed and everything means something. And then King Lear. Broadway. Edmund. Not an arrival, a culmination. It felt right, like watching someone step into a space they had been preparing for their entire life.
That’s the thing about theater. It stays in you. There are no second takes, no editing, no safety net. Just presence, just truth in real time. And if you’ve ever watched him, you can still see it. He doesn’t hold back. That part of him was built there.
Which is why, even now, there’s a feeling that lingers. Not quite nostalgia, not quite longing. Something softer. Something shared. A quiet hope. Because as much as we love everything happening now, there is something about him and the stage that feels electric, like unfinished business in the best way. Like there are still a few more nights waiting, a few more characters, a few more moments where a room goes completely still because of something only he can do.
And if that ever happens, we already know how it goes. We will not be calm. We’ll be refreshing ticket sites like it’s a full-time job, planning trips that are definitely outside our budget, and being completely insufferable about it together.
Because theater is where it started, and you can still feel it in everything. So we’ll just leave this here, out in the universe, a quiet hope we all share… that maybe one day, we’ll see him back on stage.
Where it began…and maybe, one day, where we’ll see him again.

The Mandalorian and Grogu Head to CCXP México
It’s officially confirmed, The Mandalorian and Grogu will be part of CCXP México this April, and we are already seated (mentally, emotionally, and spiritually).
The event, taking place April 24–26, 2026, is known for big reveals, exclusive footage, and surprise appearances, and with Marvel also announced, this lineup is already shaping up to be huge. No details yet on who or what will be there, but the real question…will Pedro make it two years in a row? We’’ll be watching this one very closely!
From Cananea to What’s Next
Last Sunday we got a video of Pedro saying goodbye to fans in Cananea, smiling, taking the time, and being as warm and kind as ever.
As filming for De Noche continues, local news has reported that production has moved to Mexico City and possibly Puerto Vallarta next, which is one step closer to us seeing this on the big screen. We also got a Pedro sighting last night (Saturday night) in Mexico City, along with Danny being spotted doing a little sightseeing toward the end of the week, which definitely adds to the speculation. We can’t wait.
Speaking of Theater: Early Stage Days at WHAT

Gismo Love (2004)

Lobby Hero (2003)
Here’s a little throwback gem of newly surfaced Pedro in Lobby Hero (2003) and Gismo Love (2004), two productions at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater (WHAT) in 2003 and 2004, capturing those early stage days where you can already see the intensity and presence he brings to every role.
Huge thank you to Bob Tucker of Focalpoint Studios for the original photos, and to @pedrosphere for the initial find.
First Look: Fantastic Four Family Portraits

Photos are starting to leak online from our new favorite coffee table book! Thanks to @Hanzo182_ on X, here’s a sweet look at Pedro and little Ada (Franklin Richards) from Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps – Family Portraits: Photos From The Set.
The book will be available March 31, 2026, with 224 pages of behind-the-scenes moments. Order yours here.
Marvel Rumors Roundup
New Marvel rumors are making the rounds, with talk of reshoots adding more character-focused scenes for Doomsday, and a bigger spotlight on characters who didn’t get as much time the first go around.
There are also reports of potential scenes featuring Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Florence Pugh, and David Harbour, with Florence possibly playing a larger role heading into Secret Wars. It does make us wonder…will Pedro be part of the reshoots, too? Source: Daniel Richtman.
First Look: The House of the Spirits
Elle Magazine just shared a first look at The House of the Spirits, the upcoming series adaptation of Isabel Allende’s iconic novel, and it’s already looking stunning, layered, and deeply rooted in storytelling that spans generations. The visuals and tone really highlight Chile, bringing that sense of place and history to life in a beautiful way.
Even more special for us, Javiera, is behind the project, helping bring this powerful story to the screen. This is exactly the kind of storytelling we love to see, which is rich, meaningful, and deeply personal. Prime Video also shared a first look on Instagram, giving us even more to be excited about!
Behind the Scenes: Lux for Vanity Fair
We got these from Fashion Editor Natasha Royt, sharing a few behind-the-scenes moments from Lux Pascal’s Vanity Fair shoot, and she looks incredible. Wearing Chanel, Saint Laurent, and Dior, along with an initial ring from Sophie Bille Brahe, Lux carries each look with such natural presence. A closer look at the details, including that Dior veil from JW Anderson’s first collection, makes this one even more special.

Answer Key Reveal: Hidden Pedro Essentials 🔍
We’ve posted the answer key for our Find the Hidden Pedro Essentials activity from Issue 39 on Instagram.
If you gave it a try (or got stuck on a few), head over to check your answers and see what you might have missed. It was all in good fun…and, we hope you enjoyed the challenge.
Because You Are Here: Submissions Closed, Celebration Coming April 2

Submissions for the Because You Are Here birthday project are now officially closed, and we are so grateful to everyone who took the time to contribute. The love, creativity, and care poured into this project truly mean everything to us.
On April 2, in celebration of Pedro’s birthday, we will be sharing the completed magazine on Instagram and on our website. We cannot wait for you all to see what this incredible community created together, and we truly hope it finds its way to Pedro as a reminder of how deeply he is loved and supported.

Artist Highlight: @creativijay
We’re so excited to spotlight someone from our own corner of the fandom, our friend @creativijay.
Jay is a pop culture illustrator whose work captures something we always talk about but don’t always have words for, which is the feeling behind the characters. Whether it’s a quick, expressive sketch or a fully rendered piece, there’s so much personality and emotion in every line.
From iconic Pedro moments (yes, including the very relatable “let’s put a pin in that”) to beautifully detailed Mandalorian-inspired sketches and soft, heartfelt pieces that stay with you, their art feels both playful and deeply intentional.
They’ve also been out there sharing their work at cons like MegaCon, connecting with fans in real life and building community the same way we try to here, through creativity, kindness, and shared love for these stories.
Commissions are open, and you can support their work through their Ko-fi linked on their page.
Go show them some love and check out their work at @creativijay, we promise you’ll find something that makes you smile.
Fandom Finds: The Cutest Way to Connect
We had to share this one because it’s just too cute. Fandom Dispatch is a free snail mail exchange club where fans send each other themed mail every month. Think journaling, crafts, little surprises, and that nostalgic joy of getting something in your mailbox that isn’t a bill.
It’s not a business or subscription, just people who love fandoms, creativity, and connecting in a more personal way. If you’re interested, you can comment on the post, send a DM, or reach out directly to @artbykellan or @ccardenas05 to get added and fill out the form. Their first month kicks off April 1st.
We’re sharing their post here so you can check it out and join in. Honestly…this is the kind of fandom space we love to see.

Take My Money: We’re Not Even Pretending Anymore
Just when we thought we had seen it all…The Mandalorian and Grogu eau de toilette enters the chat. Din as a sleek beskar helmet bottle. Grogu in his little pod like he owns the place. This is less fragrance, more “immediately displayed on a shelf and never used.”
We do have one question… what does it smell like? Because if it smells like Pedro’s helmet burps… we’re a little concerned. But also…maybe that wouldn’t be so bad? 🫣🤭Do we need it? No. Are we going to want it anyway? Absolutely. Take. Our. Money.
Take Our Money: For a Good Cause
This is what we love about this community. Pedro Pascal Nation set out to raise $510.51 in honor of Pedro’s birthday for the National Immigration Law Center…and they already hit their goal.
And somehow, not surprising at all, because they always step up. Time and time again, they show up, organize, and turn fandom into something meaningful, something that actually helps people. But they’re not stopping there. They’ve set a new goal, and donations are still open, with all proceeds going directly to the charity. So if you’ve been looking for a way to celebrate Pedro in a way that reflects what he stands for, this is it.
