Welcome to Issue 41 of The Pascal Pulse
Because You Are Here
There is something very beautiful about what can happen when people gather around kindness.
For Pedro’s birthday this year, we wanted to create something that felt personal, heartfelt, and real - so we made a little feel-good book called Because You Are Here, a book he can open on a hard day to remind him how loved he is. Inside, it is filled with all the love from the people who wanted to celebrate him with us: wishes, letters, fan art, photos, and thoughtful messages from all over the globe. Every page is a reminder of how many lives he has touched, and how much warmth this community is capable of creating in return.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who took the time to be part of it. Thank you to every person who sent in their words, their art, their memories, and their heart. Projects like this do not come together without generosity, and this one is overflowing with it.
What makes this gift so special is not only what is inside it, but what it says without even trying: that kindness travels. That art matters. That the impact one person has on others can grow quietly, beautifully, and unexpectedly into something much bigger. This book is full of birthday wishes, yes - but it is also full of gratitude. It is a reflection of connection, of comfort, of inspiration, and of all the small ways someone can leave light behind them without ever realizing just how far it reaches.
In many ways, this project became a celebration not only of Pedro, but of the people who came together because of him. People from different places, different lives, different stories - all meeting here, on the same pages, with something kind to say. There is something deeply moving about that. About taking admiration and turning it into something tangible, thoughtful, and full of care.
Pedro has not seen it just yet, but let’s just say this birthday gift was made to travel a little farther than our screens. And that makes it feel even more special.
Until then, we are simply happy knowing that something so lovely exists: a collection of gratitude, appreciation, and joy, made by the people who are glad he is here.
And maybe that is the heart of it, really. Because You Are Here is more than a title. It is a thank you. For the work, for the laughter, for the comfort, for the inspiration, and for the unexpected connections that were formed in the first place. Sometimes the most meaningful gifts are the ones that say: your presence mattered. It reached people. It brought something good into the world. And we wanted to give a little of that goodness back.

Baby Yum Yum and His Dad
We got this new video with Jon Favreau, Pedro, and Sigourney Weaver talking Mando, Grogu AKA baby yum yum. They touch on how the bond between Din and Grogu has grown into a real partnership, while the film leans into that classic Star Wars magic with IMAX, incredible sets, and a big, ride-like experience.
It definitely feels like one of many little clips leading up to the release…and we’re already excited.
De Noche and Why Mexico Was the Perfect Setting

A new video from Telemax Digital takes us right to the set of De Noche in Sonora, Mexico…and it’s such a good one. Watch here.
Pedro has always spoken so warmly about how much he loves Mexico, and it feels especially meaningful seeing part of this film brought to life there. The team recreates 1930s Los Angeles in a way that feels both beautiful and timeless. The video features conversations with producer Jonathan Montepare, production designer Sam Lisenco, and Jorge Hernández Aldana, who share what made Cananea such a special place to film.

Pedro Joins Open Letter Calling for Closure of
Texas ICE Family Detention Center
Pedro is among nearly 200 public figures who have signed an open letter demanding the immediate closure of the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas, an ICE family detention facility operated by CoreCivic.
The petition states that “no child should be locked in an immigration detention center” and calls for children and families to be returned to their homes and communities. It also demands transparency, accountability, and broader systemic reform, as the Dilley facility faces growing scrutiny over reports of poor conditions and inadequate care for detained families. Happy Birthday, Pedro!
Pedro turned 51 on April 2, and social media quickly filled with birthday love, sweet throwback photos, and messages from friends and fans (and our birthday project, haha). His sister Lux shared a particularly cute tribute on Instagram Stories, posting a childhood picture where he looks a little bit like Drew Barrymore.
He also spent the day working in Mexico City on De Noche, where the celebrations carried onto set with a visit from Sue, Franklin, and Rafa, along with a piñata of him in his iconic Cannes black outfit that appears to have come from production. Separately, he was welcomed with a vibrant Mexican-themed birthday setup, complete with colorful piñatas and a festive tablescape put together by Rafa, either waiting for him when he woke up or when he returned after a long day, with a bit of his signature favorite color sprinkled in. 💜We’re just so happy he was surrounded by love on his day. You can see more birthday wishes from his loved ones that we saved from that day HERE.

A Special Visit on Set in Mexico
Speaking of his birthday, while filming that day in Mexico City, Pedro had a visit on the set of De Noche from Clara Brugada Molina, Head of Government of Mexico City, who came to greet him and mark the occasion. She recognized his talent and honored his career, highlighting him as one of the most important Latino figures in the international audiovisual industry. While she can be a more polarizing public figure to some, the visit itself was centered on acknowledging his work and impact.
In the days that followed, the visit was widely reported in the news and quickly drew attention, with fans and press swarming the set in the historic center of Mexico City.
During the visit, he was gifted a Huichol art axolotl and a figure of Tlaloc. The axolotl, in his favorite color purple, made the moment even more special, and you could really see how much it meant to him.
Filming in the Heart of Mexico City
We were truly fed these last few days. So much happened and we loved every second of it. Pedro is still filming De Noche, and they were spotted on May 5th in the historic center of Mexico City, around the Isabel la Católica area. Todd Haynes was out there directing while the streets were fully in action. Fans gathered to watch, stayed really respectful, and still showed him so much love. He even acknowledged the crowd between takes, and we love seeing it.

Back to the Stage 🎭

Broadway is calling, and Pedro is answering. This January, he returns to the stage in Edward Albee’s The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, directed by James Lapine and starring alongside bestie Sarah Paulson. The play, which won the Tony Award for Best Play in 2002 and was a Pulitzer Prize finalist, is one of Albee’s most provocative and talked-about works.
It follows Martin, a successful architect whose seemingly perfect life with his wife Stevie begins to unravel after he confesses to an unexpected and deeply controversial love. What unfolds is a sharp, emotional exploration of marriage, truth, boundaries, and how far love and acceptance can be pushed before everything breaks.
This marks a full-circle moment, bringing him back to where it all began, and honestly, we are so back. Read more about the play and its themes HERE.
Berlin, This Is the Way:
The Mandalorian & Grogu Fan Event Set for May 4
The galaxy is calling Berlin this May the 4th. Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu is getting a special fan celebration in the German capital, with Star Wars Deutschland promoting it as an exclusive event featuring the film’s “filmmakers and cast.” So far, the official listing only confirms Berlin as the host city, while the exact venue, entry time, and red carpet time are still marked TBA.
As for who’s announced, that is where things are still a little vague: no individual attendees have been officially confirmed for the Berlin event yet. The event materials only say “filmmakers and cast,” while the film listing itself names Pedro, Sigourney Weaver, and Jeremy Allen White, with Jon Favreau directing and producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. At this stage, though, those names are attached to the movie, not explicitly locked in as Berlin appearances.
For tickets, access is handled through Premlist, where fans can register for free fan-area tickets. The listing warned that registration could close early due to limited capacity, and it is now showing as registration closed / sold out.

April Fools, and apparently our path straight to hell
This year, we made two April Fools posts and somehow both were a little too believable. First, we convinced people Pedro was launching a sleep and wellbeing app for stressed adults. Isn’t that something we all dream about? Because, heart to heart, this would be real cash grab for Pedro…if he make one. So maybe we want to manifest it, okay?
Then we went even further and announced that Pedro had been cast in season 3 of The Pitt, not just as a new doctor, but as the center of a chaotic romantic subplot involving Dennis Whitaker and a very jealous Robby. It was messy, dramatic, completely fabricated, and, to our delight, wildly entertaining to watch unfold in real time.
Both posts took off far more than we expected, which is how we learned that the internet is always ready for one thing: Pedro in situations that are either comforting, emotionally messy, or both. So yes, we may very well end up in hell for this. But at least we’ll know it was worth it.

Something bookish is coming to The Pascal Pulse
In honor of National Library Week (April 19–25), we’re putting together something a little special in collaboration with one of the fandom’s own, @ccardenas05, a Library Circulation Attendant and library advocate. Think stories, shared favorites, and a way for this community to come together through the books that connect us.
We’ll also be shining a light on banned books and the importance of protecting access to stories, because reading is not just an escape, it’s power, perspective, and community.
If you’ve ever picked up something Pedro has mentioned, or just love getting lost in a good book, this one’s for you. More soon!

Grogu Furby is real, and frankly, society may never recover
Because apparently the world was not chaotic enough, Hasbro has given us the Furby Furblets STAR WARS Grogu Mini Electronic Plush - a tiny Grogu/Furby hybrid with soft green fur, a keychain clip, and more than 45 sounds including Grogu babble, Force effects, and feeding noises. Officially, it’s a 3-inch-ish mini plush with an MSRP of $14.99, which feels dangerously affordable for something this cursed and adorable.
For anyone ready to make a financially questionable decision, it’s showing up online in the U.S. via Hasbro, Amazon, Walmart and Entertainment Earth; in the UK and Ireland via Smyths Toys and Amazon UK; and for wider European/international shoppers there are also listings on Amazon.de and Amazon.com.be. At the time of writing, Smyths lists it at £14.99 in the UK and €17.99 in Ireland, while Entertainment Earth lists it at $15.99.

Grogu skincare is here to heal our inner child
As if Grogu was not already market-tested to destroy our self-control, Mad Beauty has now given him his own beauty lineup. The collection includes things like under-eye masks, a cosmetic face mask, a lip balm set, a body wash with mini bag, a brush set, and more - basically everything required to make your skincare routine look like it reports directly to the Jedi Council. On Mad Beauty’s site, the Grogu under-eye masks are listed at £5.99, the face mask at £4.99, and the lip balm set at £5.99.
