Welcome to Issue 42 of The Pascal Pulse

The People Who Know You First

There’s something about siblings that just hits differently.

They’re the people who knew you before the world did. Before the roles, before the headlines, before everything became what it is now. They’re there in the earliest versions of you, the ones that don’t get seen as much anymore, but never really go away.

National Sibling Day always feels like a quiet kind of reminder of that. Of where someone started, and who was there alongside them through it all.

With the Balmaceda Pascal siblings, that story runs deeper than most. Their family history carries the weight of their parents being exiled, of starting over in a new place, and of the quiet, lasting separation that can come with being between cultures. Those aren’t small things to grow up around. And yet, they grew through it together.

There are years between them, different chapters, different places they each call home. Javiera and Pedro were born in Chile and raised in the United States. Nicolás and Lux were born in the U.S. but spent much of their upbringing in Chile. Their lives have crossed borders, cultures, and experiences in ways that could easily create distance, but instead seem to have done the opposite.

If anything, it feels like it’s only made their bond stronger. You can see it in the way they show up for each other. Protective, proud, and steady. The kind of connection that comes from having lived through things side by side, even when those things weren’t always easy.

April 10 marked both National Sibling Day and Nicolás’s birthday, making it feel just a little more meaningful.

We talk a lot about the person the world sees. The work, the talent, the presence. But none of that exists on its own. It’s shaped by family, by history, by the people who were there from the very beginning. And maybe that’s part of what resonates so much. Not just who someone is, but everything that helped make them that way.

Because behind every story we follow, there’s a family somewhere in it. And in this case, one that feels especially worth celebrating.

And maybe that’s really the heart of it. The Pascal Pulse has never just been about Pedro. It’s about Lux. Javiera. Nicolás. The family that shaped him, the people who have been there from the very beginning, and the love that runs through all of it.

That’s what we celebrate. Always.

And if any of you ever happen to read something like this, we just hope you know how much that love is seen and felt. Thank you for sharing even a small part of it with all of us.

The Mandalorian and Grogu Press Tour

We’re finally getting a clearer picture of what the promo run might look like ahead of the May 22 release. Jon Favreau is set to be at CinemaCon on April 16 in Las Vegas, and the film is expected to show up at CCXP México later in April, before heading to Berlin for a May 4 fan celebration that’s said to include cast and filmmakers.

And now there’s another date floating around! 🚨

A UK premiere is being listed for May 14 in London through Cornucopia Events, which tracks red carpet premieres in Leicester Square. Nothing official yet, but it lines up almost perfectly with where things would fall.

It’s that moment where everything starts to feel real. Press, premieres, the build up… we’re getting close. Din and Grogu on the big screen is almost here.

More Details Coming in for The Mandalorian and Grogu

The film now has an official runtime of 2 hours and 12 minutes, along with a PG-13 rating, according to listings on AMC, Regal, and Cinemark apps.

It’s another solid update as we get closer to release, giving us a better sense of the scale and tone we can expect. A full-length theatrical story, a little more edge with the rating, and plenty of time to settle back in with Din and Grogu on the big screen.

May 22 can’t come soon enough.

Coming Soon: The House of the Spirits

On April 9, Prime Video held a red carpet premiere and presentation for The House of the Spirits (La Casa de los Espíritus) at the Palafox Luxury Cinema in Madrid, giving us an early look at what’s already being called one of its most ambitious Latin American originals to date, led by Javiera.

The event brought out the series’ lead stars Nicole Wallace and Alfonso Herrera, along with Maribel Verdú and Fernanda Castillo, and director Francisca Alegría.

The series premieres April 29 with three episodes, followed by weekly releases leading up to the finale on May 13. The eight episode story will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Based on The House of the Spirits by Isabel Allende, the series follows three generations of women, Clara, Blanca, and Alba, set against a backdrop of political change, class struggle, and touches of magical realism. A big, proud moment for Javi, and one we’ll definitely be watching.

Lux Is Stepping Fully Into Her Moment

Instagram post

In her GRAZIA cover story, Lux talks about the connection between fashion and film, something that’s been with her since growing up in Chile watching movies and falling in love with the way characters come to life. For her, fashion is part of the storytelling, a way to step into a role before the camera even starts rolling.

The piece also gives a glimpse into her personal journey, including the loss of her mother and the close bond she shares with her siblings, something that continues to ground her through it all. With Miss Carbón behind her and Cry to Heaven ahead, it really feels like she’s entering a whole new chapter, one that’s fully her own.

She’s a true vanguard in every sense. Read her full interview and see the incredible photos HERE.

The Popcorn Bucket Era Begins

It looks like themed Mandalorian and Grogu popcorn and drink containers may be on the way. Based on descriptions printed on the outside of boxes sent to a theater, it sounds like we could be getting AT-AT style containers and helmet bottles, exactly what we were hoping for.

We haven’t seen the actual items yet, but even that alone is already giving full theater experience energy. The kind where you’re planning your snack lineup before the movie even starts. We’re not even there yet and the rollout is already this fun. Once we get more confirmation, we’ll share more.

Filming Continues for De Noche

The central streets of Papalotla in Mexico have been transformed into a 1930s film set as De Noche continues filming, with Pedro spotted on location alongside Danny Ramírez.

This week marked the start of three days of filming in the area, giving us another glimpse into the scale and detail going into the project. Rumors are that Puerto Vallarta may be next. We’ll continue adding videos and photos to our Google Drive as more comes in.

Doomsday First Look + Secret Wars Gearing Up

It looks like Marvel is about to start feeding us.

An early look at Avengers: Doomsday is expected to be revealed at CinemaCon next week, with Disney reportedly going all out for their presentation.

At the same time, Avengers: Secret Wars is rumored to begin filming in June, with Pedro, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as all part of the cast.

Nothing officially confirmed just yet, but between CinemaCon and filming timelines starting to line up…things are definitely ramping up!

Help Pedro Clean His Living Room

Pedro’s been busy and now his living room is a little messier than usual… and a bunch of familiar items have been hidden all around the room. Your mission is to look closely and find every Pedro-themed thing tucked into the picture. Some are obvious, some are sneaky, and a few might take a second glance. How many can you spot?

The answer key will be on our Instagram post later this week!

Something Bookish is Coming to The Pascal Pulse

We’ve put together a list of books Pedro has recommended or mentioned over the years, and we’d love to hear from you. Have you read any of them? Did one stay with you, shift your perspective, or completely wreck you in the best way?

We’re inviting you to share a short review or reflection so we can highlight voices from this community alongside the books themselves.

It doesn’t have to be long. Just honest. You can find the full list HERE.

If you’d like to be included, send your submission to [email protected] and use the subject line: Pedro Reads Submission. Include the title of the book you’re writing about, and your name or handle as you’d like it credited.

Submissions close on April 17.We’ll be featuring selected responses during National Library Week (April 19–25) as part of a special post highlighting the importance of books and libraries, and the role they play in connecting us through stories, shared favorites, and the perspectives that shape us.

We’d love to include your voice and hear what these books meant to you!

Artist Highlight: Jays.Drawingz

This week’s spotlight goes to @jays.drawingz, an artist whose sketchbook work is full of personality, color, and unmistakable love for fictional men we all know a little too well. From expressive Pedro-inspired portraits to a striking little Din Djarin piece created for RAINDRO 2026, their art feels playful, intimate, and instantly recognizable. There’s something really charming about the way bold colors, loose lines, and sketchbook textures come together in pieces that feel both spontaneous and carefully felt. If you love fan art with heart, style, and a clear sense of obsession in the best possible way, this is definitely an artist worth following.

RAINDRO 2026 Check-In

RAINDRO 2026 kicked off last week and wow…the fandom really showed up. The creativity has been unreal and it’s been so much fun watching everything come together.

We’ve already seen some incredible entries for White, Grey or Silver, Black and Brown, and every day has brought something new. One of our favorite parts has been discovering new artists along the way, and we absolutely love that.

If you haven’t yet, head over to #Raindro2026 tag on Instagram and take a scroll. You’ll find your favorite artists and probably discover a few new ones, too. Don’t forget to show the love while you’re there, likes, comments, hype…it all matters. 🌈

We’re especially excited for what’s coming next, Pink and Purple!

Huge thank you again to @kiyomeji for creating this and to @alyssamariag and @north.the.lemon for hosting this year. We can’t wait to see what everyone brings next.

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday - The Art Of The Movie

Marvel fans already have one more very expensive reason to start budgeting for the end of the year. Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday The Art of the Movie is currently listed as a 224-page hardcover arriving on December 22 for $50, which means shelves and wallets may soon be in danger.

New batch of The Mandalorian and Grogu books!

Lucasfilm is absolutely coming for our wallets with a very Grogu-heavy new Mandalorian book wave landing on April 7, 2026. The lineup includes an updated Star Wars The Mandalorian Crochet kit with materials to make Din and Grogu plus instructions for 12 projects, the sweet rhyming board book Star Wars: You’re My Little Grogu, Ian Doescher’s William Shakespeare’s Star Wars: The Mandalorian of Nevarro: Part the First, and Star Wars Grogu Stickers, which includes more than 500 stickers.

Basically, whether you want to crochet them, read them to a tiny Padawan, give Din Djarin the Shakespeare treatment, or cover your life in Grogu stickers, there is now a preorder with your name on it. Preorders are live through Thunder Bay Press for the crochet kit and sticker book, Simon & Schuster for You’re My Little Grogu, and Insight Editions for The Mandalorian of Nevarro.
