Mental Health Awareness Month Editorial: Protect Your Peace
There’s something about Pedro that cuts through the noise a little. Not in a grand, polished, media-trained way, but in the way he’ll just say something simple, and it sticks.
“Be kind. Be kind. Be kind.”
It sounds almost too easy, right? Like something you’d scroll past without thinking. But then you sit with it for a second, and it hits differently, because if there’s one thing this fandom keeps proving over and over again, it’s that kindness isn’t small. It’s not extra. It’s essential.
Mental health conversations can get heavy fast. These awareness notes with big words and big ideas feel important, but sometimes can feel a little distant. And then Pedro comes in with something grounded. Human. Like a reminder that, at the core of it, this is about how we treat each other when things aren’t curated or filtered.
Because the truth is not everyone is floating.
Some people are barely keeping their head above water. Some are going through it quietly, showing up, posting, laughing, working…and still struggling underneath all of that. You don’t always see it. Actually, most of the time, you don’t.
And that’s why that other thing Pedro talks about matters just as much: being open, being vulnerable, letting people in even when it’s uncomfortable. It’s not weakness. If anything, it’s the bravest thing there is.
But here’s the flip side of that: if someone trusts you with that vulnerability, what do you do with it? That’s where community comes in. That’s where we come in.
We talk a lot about how Pedro creates safe spaces just by being himself, how he makes people feel seen, and how he leads with empathy. But the real magic is when that energy doesn’t stop with him. When it spreads. When it becomes the tone of the whole space.
Because uplifting others doesn’t always have to be loud or performative. It’s not always big speeches or perfectly worded messages. Sometimes it’s just checking in. Noticing someone’s been quiet. Hyping up their art. Letting them vent without trying to fix everything. Just…being there.
And honestly, that feels especially important right now, because online spaces have become so quick to turn cruel.
Rumors spread fast. Anonymous comments get treated like truth. People jump to the worst conclusions about strangers they do not actually know. And the second someone receives attention, support, kindness, or happiness, there always seems to be people waiting to tear them down. Not liking someone is fine. We are all human. But disliking someone does not justify bullying them, mocking them, harassing them, or encouraging others to pile onto them. There is still a real person on the other side of the screen.
A lot of the time, these attacks are not even really about the person being targeted. So much online behavior comes from projection. Hurt, insecurity, jealousy, loneliness, bitterness, wanting attention, wanting to belong somewhere. Sometimes people project their unhappiness onto strangers they do not actually know and turn that into “concern,” gossip, or commentary.
That’s why it’s important to slow down before immediately believing or spreading things online. Ask yourself: does this actually make sense? Is context missing? Why is this being pushed so aggressively? Who benefits from keeping people angry?
Thinking critically matters. Kindness matters, too. Many of us know firsthand what online bullying feels like, and after a while, it absolutely wears you down. Even when you try to laugh things off or ignore them, repeated negativity and cruelty still leave marks. Mental health is shaped not only by our offline lives, but by the spaces we spend time in online, too.
Protecting your peace sometimes means stepping away from accounts, blogs, or spaces built entirely around negativity. It means muting conversations that leave you anxious or emotionally exhausted. It means not feeding rumor cycles, anonymous hate, or dogpiles just because everyone else is participating in them.
Not everything deserves your attention.
Not everything deserves your reaction.
And sometimes the healthiest thing you can do is disengage completely.
There’s a quote Pedro said recently in an interview that feels especially fitting for all of this:
“We’re all in this together. I am with you. I’m feeling the same way… taking each day as it comes and fighting for our joy, our humanity, our decency, and our love for each other in all forms.
Just like a Star Wars movie with galaxies far, far away full of planets and creatures of every kind…that’s who we are. Different people from different lands sharing this planet together. We’re supposed to protect each other, look after each other, look after our planet, and live with love.”
That really is the heart of it, isn’t it? Protect each other. Look after each other. Live with love. Because if there’s one thing Pedro has always made clear, it’s that kindness matters. He has spoken openly about loneliness, bullying, feeling different, and how important empathy is. He would never want people turned into targets in his name or within spaces connected to him.
This Mental Health Awareness Month, protect your peace. Protect your joy. Be thoughtful about the spaces you spend time in and the energy you contribute to them. And whenever possible, choose kindness. You never really know what someone else is carrying quietly behind the screen.
Take care of yourselves this month. And take care of each other, too.

The Internet Finally Gave Us Pedro Pascal Covered in Puppies

We asked. We begged. We practically pleaded with BuzzFeed and the internet gods…and they finally delivered: Pedro Pascal’s puppy interview. 🥹🐶
Obviously, it was everything we hoped for and somehow even more chaotic. The puppies were absolutely relentless, nibbling on him like the rest of us wish we could, climbing all over him, and yes…one fully went for his butt. The aggression-level cuteness overload was almost too much to survive.
Pedro talked love languages, The Mandalorian & Grogu, TV obsessions, and tried his best to survive the puppy swarm. Sadly, despite the ongoing third nipple lore, he still could not breast feed them. Tragic.
The internet won on Friday.
Watch the full interview HERE.
AUDIENCES ARE SHOWING UP FOR DIN & GROGU 💚
The Rotten Tomatoes audience score for The Mandalorian & Grogu continues to stay strong, with audiences clearly connecting to Din and Grogu’s story, heart, humor, and adventure.
According to ScreenRant, the film even debuted with the best Rotten Tomatoes audience score yet in Star Wars’ Disney era.
It’s been really special watching fans rally behind this movie in such a positive and genuine way. And a reminder about our fan review mission post: if you loved the film, take a few minutes to leave an audience review and help keep the excitement and word of mouth going!
Pedro and Grogu Face the Meme Lords
Pedro and Grogu took on the internet the only way they could: by reacting to The Mandalorian and Grogu memes for BuzzFeed UK. The result is exactly as chaotic, adorable, and deeply unserious as you’d hope.
The Mandalorian & Grogu Lands in Japan for Final Stop of Global Tour
The global tour for The Mandalorian & Grogu made its final jump through hyperspace this week, landing in Tokyo for the film’s Japan premiere. Pedro joined director Jon Favreau and, of course, Grogu, for a fan-filled celebration at Roppongi Hills Arena, where hundreds of Star Wars fans gathered to welcome them. The premiere screening later took place at Grand Cinema Sunshine, home to one of Japan’s largest IMAX screens, making it a very fitting stop for a film designed with the big-screen experience in mind.
For Pedro fans, the Tokyo stop felt especially sweet. After a whirlwind global press tour, seeing him greeted so warmly by Japanese fans gave the whole event that soft, full-circle feeling: Din Djarin may belong to the galaxy, but Pedro continues to prove he belongs everywhere fans are ready to cheer him on.

New Mando & Grogu Set Photos Dropped

RISEMOVEMENT on Instagram recently posted a new behind-the-scenes photo of Pedro with Jason Walsh on the set of The Mandalorian & Grogu and we’re always grateful for and will never say no. 😂 Also, we’re still wondering what exactly Pedro is holding here and if it’s cheese.
We also just got that floating Din photo Pedro shared in his stories, so now we’re officially hoping he blesses us with a full drop of his unauthorized secret iPhone set photos soon.
Pedro’s Doodles Are Now WhatsApp Stickers

Okay wait…The Mandalorian & Grogu WhatsApp stickers now exist and they’re the ones Pedro drew. Pedro’s typo of Grogu saying “This Is Way” might actually be the cutest thing we’ve seen all day. Check them out on WhatsApp here
Pedro Dropped by BBC Radio 2
Pedro stopped by BBC Radio 2 to chat with host Gary Davies about The Mandalorian and Grogu, bringing a softer, radio-studio kind of charm to the film’s promo run. Between the galaxy-sized excitement of Star Wars returning to the big screen and Pedro’s easy warmth in interviews, it was another lovely little stop on the on the tour. It was casual, cozy and very much worth a listen for anyone following Din and Grogu’s next chapter.

Pedro Joins Park Chan-wook’s Starry Western
The Brigands of Rattlecreek
Pedro’s packed slate just added another major title to keep on our radar. The Brigands of Rattlecreek, the upcoming western-thriller from acclaimed director Park Chan-wook, is reportedly heading to Warner Bros.’ new specialty label Clockwork for North American distribution after drawing attention at the Cannes market. The deal is said to be in the mid-teen millions, with filming currently being lined up for early 2027.
The cast alone feels like a “wait, all of them?” moment: Matthew McConaughey, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, and Tang Wei are attached to star. The film follows a sheriff and a doctor seeking revenge after bandits use a torrential storm to terrorize a small town - which already sounds like the kind of brutal, rain-soaked, morally messy western Park Chan-wook could turn into something unforgettable.
The project has been floating around Hollywood for years under its former title, The Brigands of Rattleborge, with a screenplay by S. Craig Zahler that topped the 2006 Black List. Now, with Park revising and directing, plus this level of cast power attached, Rattlecreek suddenly feels less like a long-lost industry legend and more like one of the most fascinating Pedro projects on the horizon.
Pedro Pascal Brings the Force to Cavs vs. Knicks
Pedro brought a little Star Wars energy to the NBA, introducing the Cavaliers vs. Knicks game for ESPN.
Pedro and Friends Take the Falcon for a Spin
Pedro, Sigourney Weaver, Jon Favreau, and Dave Filoni climbed aboard the Millennium Falcon for a first look at the new Smugglers Run mission inspired by The Mandalorian and Grogu. With Din and Grogu now part of the ride’s galaxy-hopping adventure, the promo stop feels like the perfect little crossover: cast, creators, and one very famous hunk of junk all ready to punch it into the next chapter.
Pedro Brings Storytime to CBeebies
Pedro is taking us from a galaxy far, far away straight into bedtime story mode. For his CBeebies Bedtime Story, Pedro reads Meet the Planets by Caryl Hart, a perfectly cosmic pick for someone no stranger to space adventures. But the sweetest part might be Pedro’s own love for the magic of stories: “I love storytelling more than anything in the world.” Soft, wholesome, and very much one for the comfort-watch list. Pedro reads Meet the Planets

We’re Still Recovering From the Mando & Grogu Press Tour
We are still collecting and organizing all of the interviews, appearances, clips, and press from this absolutely overwhelming Mando & Grogu promo tour. There has been SO much content dropping across multiple countries and platforms that we are doing our best to keep everything updated in one place for everyone.
Keep checking back as we continue adding new links, videos, articles, and interviews.
Lux Steps Into Fendi’s New Baguette Chapter
Lux joined Fendi in New York for the celebration of the Baguette 26424 Re-Edition, marking another chic fashion moment in her growing style story. The event spotlighted the iconic Baguette bag through Maria Grazia Chiuri’s new chapter at Fendi, a particularly meaningful return, since Chiuri helped shape the original Baguette back in the ’90s. Lux was among the stylish guests exploring the new softer, slouchier designs, proving once again that the Pascal family fashion gene is very much alive and thriving.
Remembering Juani Balmaceda
On Thursday, Pedro shared a heartfelt post revealing that his paternal aunt, Juani Balmaceda, had passed away.
“La Reina Balmaceda. Juani, somos porque eras. Un espacio que nunca podrá llenarse. Como te queremos ❤️. Gracias.” [“The Queen Balmaceda. Juani, we are because you were. A space that can never be filled. How we love you ❤️. Thank you.”]
Sending our deepest condolences and so much love to José “Pepe” Balmaceda, Lux, Pedro, Nico, Javiera, and the entire Balmaceda family during this incredibly difficult time. Thinking of them all and wishing them comfort, peace, and love as they mourn such a profound loss.

We Asked What’s Inside Pedro Pascal’s Tote Bag and the Answers Were on Brand for this Fandom

We asked the fandom one very important question: what is actually inside Pedro Pascal’s Chanel bag? To no one’s surprise, the answers were somehow exactly what we expected.
Here are the top ten results from the fandom:
Nicorette gum
iPad 41 absolutely covered in fingerprints with 92 tabs open and 3% battery
Coco’s pink hair clips
Two pairs of Chanel sunglasses
Tangled headphones
His yellow Lakers shirt shoved in there “just in case”
Glasses he thought he lost but were in the bag the whole time
Grogu
Sigourney Weaver’s crumpled used napkin because Pedro is also a fangirl like all of us
Coco because she is tiny and got tired of walking
Write-in answers from the fandom included:
• Bracelets fans gave him last week
• His slutty little glasses
• Blue cookies to share with Grogu
• “Nothing. It’s all still in his pockets.”
• A Minifig he took when no one was looking
• A random small toy that used to belong to one of his nephews to help keep him grounded 🥺
• A love note from myself♡
• Cable headphones
• His helmet
• His phone with a billion unanswered texts!!
The overall conclusion from the fandom seems to be that Pedro’s tote bag contains equal parts emotional support items, chaos, tech clutter, Grogu-related nonsense, and at least one thing he forgot was in there. Which honestly feels correct.
And we’re keeping this survey open, so drop your own additions because clearly there’s still more hiding in that big ass bag.

Artist Highlight: @axtarah ✨
This week’s artist spotlight goes to TARAH / @axtarah, an animator and illustrator based in Mexico whose work is full of warmth, movement, and heart. Her Pedro-inspired pieces have such a soft, expressive energy - the kind that feels instantly familiar, like a little pocket of comfort for the fandom.
Her recent Pedrito as Mando illustration captures that perfect mix of sweetness and devotion: Din’s armor, Grogu nearby, golden light everywhere, and a feeling that is just pure peace. TARAH even shared that drawing him feels therapeutic, and you can feel? You can feel that love in every brushstroke.
Please go show her some love, follow her work, and support the artists who keep this fandom so creative, emotional, and beautifully alive.
UPDATE ON LISA’S WALKER FUNDRAISER ♥️
We wanted to share a little update from Lisa.
Because her health has been declining faster than expected, she sadly couldn’t wait until the fundraiser reached the full goal. Thanks to the donations already received and with money she had to use from her very first payment while on disability, Lisa was able to buy the lightweight walker now.
That means the walker is finally secured, and that is a huge relief.
But we are keeping the fundraiser open.
Lisa still had to cover the remaining cost from money that was meant for other needs, so we would love to help her raise the rest of the goal and give her a little breathing room again. Even though the walker is now bought, every small donation still helps replace what she had to spend urgently because her health simply could not wait.
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, or supported Lisa in any way. This community has already made a real difference and we would love to keep going just a little longer for her. ♥️

Tiny Star Wars Chaos for Your Bag
Because apparently our wallets have survived too long, Sagas & Sabers is dropping the cutest little Mandalorian and Grogu bag charms/keychains on Sunday, May 24 at 10am Central on Depop.

Think tiny figures, chunky charms, letter beads, stars, droids, chaos, cuteness - basically a whole emotional support Star Wars shrine you can clip to your bag.
It is giving: yes, I am a grown adult, and yes, I need a tiny Grogu hanging from my purse immediately.
