It has been one of those weeks when opening the news feels overwhelming.

The jarring images of masked white supremacists marching through Washington, D.C., during U.S. Independence Day celebrations. The death of 18 year old Nolan Wells in Mississippi after his white friends left him behind on an island. The killing of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52 year old father of three who was fatally shot by an ICE in Houston. The continued attacks on the LGBTQ+ community. The suffering in Sudan, Palestine, Ukraine, Iran, and so many other places. Dangerous heat waves reminding us that our climate is in crisis. And communities in Venezuela still struggling after the devastating earthquake while receiving far too little help from their government. It is a lot.

Choosing joy does not mean ignoring any of it. It means refusing to let cruelty, grief, and fear take everything from us. Sometimes that joy comes from the smallest, most familiar things, and this past week Pedro reminded us exactly why he has become one of those sources of comfort.

Pedro is simply Pedro, and everything he did this past week reminded us why. He talked about watching horror movies to prepare for Halloween, showed off the Prince wallpaper on his phone, admitted he would happily eat cheeseburgers and watch television, and reminded us that he is a creature of habit. He yapped through photo calls until Lux had to shush him, warmly greeted everyone around him, and showed up to a fancy Paris restaurant in a comfortable T shirt and jeans while everyone else was dressed up.

Pedro once said he was lucky to be fully baked by the time fame found him, and that may be the best explanation for why so many people find comfort in him. He already knew who he was. He is warm, funny, familiar, a little chaotic, and completely himself.

In a world that can feel unbearably heavy, those small moments of joy matter. They remind us to laugh, connect, care for one another, and keep protecting the things that make life feel human.

We will continue to speak up, support the causes that matter, and pay attention to what is happening beyond our corner of the internet. But we will also keep choosing joy. Because choosing joy does not mean looking away. It means refusing to give up.

We may finally be about to meet Alex Serian.

The first trailer for BEHEMOTH! has now been officially rated by the Alberta Film Classification Office. The government listing shows that Trailer #1 received a General rating on July 8, 2026, and has a runtime of 1 minute and 40 seconds.

While the rating for the trailer does not confirm when it will be released, it is a strong indication that a public debut may be getting closer. Reports suggest that a first look, possibly a sneak peek but most likely a trailer, could arrive as early as next week.

Movie studios often favor Tuesdays and Thursdays for major trailer releases, so those may be the days to watch. We are also hoping the trailer will be attached to The Odyssey in theaters. If that happens, it would be a very big deal and a strong indication of how seriously Searchlight is positioning and promoting BEHEMOTH! to a major audience.

The timing may not be a coincidence. The trailer could be leading into an announcement that BEHEMOTH! will premiere at the Venice International Film Festival. The official lineup will be revealed on July 23, with the festival running from September 2 through September 12, 2026.

Written and directed by Tony Gilroy, the creator of Andor, the film stars Pedro as Alex Serian, a gifted but emotionally distant cellist. With music unlocking memories from different moments in his life, the story has been described as a love letter to movie music and the people who create it. In other words, we’re anticipating Pedro, emotional flashbacks, and a cello. This already sounds specifically engineered to destroy us.

For now, both the trailer date and a Venice premiere remain unconfirmed. Still, with the preview officially rated and the festival announcement approaching, our first real glimpse of BEHEMOTH! may finally be very close. Please prepare yourselves accordingly.

This week from The Playlist, we also learned that BEHEMOTH! will feature an extraordinary nine-composer "Behemoth! Collective," with legendary composers including Michael Giacchino, Alan Silvestri, James Newton Howard, Michael Abels, Henry Jackman, Nami Melumad, Emily Bear, Brandon Roberts, and Lukas Frank contributing to the film. Rather than a traditional score, they'll create music for films within the film, diegetic sequences, and other experimental pieces.

Olivia Wilde, who also appears in the film, described BEHEMOTH! as a love letter to movie music and the art of film composition. She also confirmed that Will Arnett plays the brother of Pedro's character, Alex Serian, a fellow musician from a family of studio performers. If this wasn't already one of our most anticipated films, it certainly is now.

Things are starting to heat up for Avengers: Doomsday. New official concept art was shown this week at the Shanghai Expo, with Reed Richards front and center in his white Fantastic Four leather jacket, Doctor Doom looming behind him, and Steve Rogers positioned on the other side. The placement certainly seems to suggest that Reed and Steve could be two of the film’s central characters.

More information has also started circulating about Marvel’s plans for San Diego Comic-Con, including reports that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer could be revealed during Marvel Studios’ Hall H panel on July 25, scheduled for 5:30–6:30 p.m. PT.

Nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel yet, but between the new concept art and the growing SDCC buzz, it definitely feels like the Doomsday campaign is about to begin.

It's from the clean-shaven era, before the facial hair took over again, and we have to admit...we kind of miss nakie-faced Pedro. We screamed, too. 🥹

Pedro, Lux, and Coco joined Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid for dinner at Le Stresa after a busy few days of Paris Fashion Week.

Lux looked absolutely stunning in a flowing sheer black gown that was effortlessly elegant with just the right amount of edge. And if that really is nipple jewelry... we have no choice but to stan because that is such a bold, gorgeous look.

Meanwhile, Pedro showed up in his favorite jeans and a vintage Levi's "Button Your Fly" T shirt, reminding us that no one commits to laid back quite like Pedro. And yes, we checked to see if he paired it with button fly jeans. The investigation was inconclusive, but we looked very hard for you. 😂

This summer marks one year since Pedro began working with stylist Jamie Mizrahi and together, they have created one of his most memorable Pedro's fashion eras yet.

From the flowing white Tom Ford look in Berlin and the scarf-detailed suit at the London premiere to bold Chanel moments in 2026, Jamie has helped shape a style that feels elegant, playful and unmistakably Pedro. Their partnership blends sharp tailoring, relaxed silhouettes, statement glasses and just enough unexpected detail to keep every appearance exciting.

One year later, Pedro and Jamie have developed a fashion language entirely their own and we cannot wait to see what comes next.

Pedro and Lux attended Chanel’s Fall/Winter 2026–2027 Haute Couture show in Paris on Tuesday, July 7, arriving together for the second day of Paris Haute Couture Week.

As a Chanel ambassador, Pedro kept things effortlessly relaxed in a simple white T-shirt and trousers, with with a Breton striped knit draped over his shoulders for a slightly nautical summer feel. He finished the look with black shoes, a small black Chanel crossbody bag, and his Chanel BOY·FRIEND watch. Inside the show, he was seated beside legendary French actor Catherine Deneuve.

Lux wore a beautifully textured look from Chanel’s Fall 2026 collection. The layers and intricate construction gave the ensemble incredible dimension while still appearing elegant and light, even though we can only imagine how substantial it must have been in person.

The siblings were photographed and filmed arriving and enjoying the show together, and Vanity Fair also captured a brief conversation with both of them at the event, including a playful moment where Lux gently shushed Pedro mid-yap. We always love seeing Pedro and Lux supporting each other, especially during a moment this glamorous.

The Chanel front row also included Lupita Nyong’o, Teyana Taylor, Cole Escola, Sarah Pidgeon, Imane Khelif, and Dina Asher-Smith.

For his second Chanel haute couture collection, Matthieu Blazy transformed the runway into an enchanted garden inspired by classic fairy tales and a storybook from Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s library. Titled “Gaby and the Beanstalk,” the collection brought storytelling to life through sheer fabrics, intricate embroidery, sparkling embellishments, and whimsical details inspired by flowers, insects, and animals.

ONE YEAR AGO: A FANTASTIC ARRIVAL IN PARIS AND BERLIN

One year ago this week, Pedro Pascal took Europe by storm as the promotional tour for The Fantastic Four: First Steps travelled through Paris, Berlin and London.

Across couple days, Pedro transformed from effortlessly cool leading man into a romantic, retro-futuristic style icon, while introducing European audiences to his Reed Richards era.

The European adventure began in Paris on July 7, 2025, when Pedro joined Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach for a special photocall at Espace Niemeyer. With its curved concrete architecture and futuristic interiors, the venue looked as though it had been transported directly from the film’s retro-inspired universe.

For the Paris appearance, Pedro kept the styling cool and understated. He wore a black zip-front jacket over a simple white tank top, paired with relaxed black trousers, black leather shoes and his signature oversized black glasses. The look was monochromatic, comfortable and effortlessly stylish, the wardrobe of a brilliant scientist who had briefly stepped away from saving the universe to attend Paris Fashion Week.

Only one day later, on July 8, 2025, Pedro arrived at Das Center in Berlin for the film’s enormous blue-carpet fan event.

Berlin brought one of Pedro’s most distinctive looks from the entire promotional tour. Styled by Jamie Mizrahi, he wore Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann: a flowing white paisley-print shirt with delicate blue detailing, a matching silk scarf draped around his neck and sharply pleated white trousers. Patent leather loafers and chunky glasses completed the romantic summer ensemble. It was part retro superhero, part European holiday and entirely Pedro Pascal.

The following day, on July 9, 2025, Pedro returned for the Berlin photocall and press conference, posing with Vanessa Kirby, Joseph Quinn and Ebon Moss-Bachrach against the city skyline. For the daytime appearance, he traded his flowing white ensemble for another Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann look: an olive-green suede bomber jacket worn over a crisp white shirt and slim black leather tie, paired with classic blue jeans, polished black shoes and green-tinted Tom Ford glasses.

And then, the Fantastic Four landed in London on July 10, 2025, for the UK launch at the BFI IMAX Waterloo, for film’s London premiere. Pedro walked the bright blue carpet alongside his co-stars, greeting fans, posing with Vanessa Kirby and enthusiastically waving to the crowds gathered outside the cinema.

For London, Pedro returned to Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann in a dark double-breasted suit covered in subtle, low-contrast polka dots. Underneath, he wore a pale sky-blue silk scarf that added a soft flash of the Fantastic Four’s signature colour. Dark trousers, leather shoes and amber-tinted glasses finished the look, turning classic evening tailoring into something slightly playful, unexpected and perfectly suited to the film’s stylish retro-futuristic world.

The European chapter continued the following morning, July 11, when Pedro joined the cast for another photocall at London’s Corinthia Hotel. For the daytime appearance, he traded premiere tailoring for a more relaxed look from The Row, combining a long classic-cut coat with a sporty two-tone layered top, dark trousers, and glasses.

She keeps us laughing, brings thoughtful and compassionate ideas to everything we do, and adds a unique European voice to our wonderfully weird little group. She is also the youngest of us, and we love hearing her perspective and seeing the world through her eyes.

One of my favorite stories is how this friendship even started. I had accidentally blocked Maiev on Tumblr, so she reached out to me on Instagram to gently correct me about the location where some Pedro photos had been taken. That tiny interaction became the beginning of a friendship that has survived the incredible highs and difficult lows that come with the Pedro fandom. Through it all, the three of us have always found our way back to one another, and I am so grateful for that.

Many of you know Maiev, or know of her. But once you really get to know her, you understand just how genuinely kind, thoughtful, compassionate, and sweet she is. She has a quiet way of making people feel seen and safe, and there is a reason she has earned the trust of people who are very careful about who they let close.

Maiev, thank you for your heart, your humor, your compassion, and for being such an important part of The Pascal Pulse and our lives. We truly could not imagine this journey without you.
